Book excerpt: 8/18/06 This book had to be addressed as one of fiction because of the real torment created by one vicious evil plotting scorned female controlled by Satans own mind. The story is true, however all the names have been changed to protect the innocent, the publisher, and the Author. Three years of dedication and very hard work gathering information to present to the reader, starting from July 2003. False police reports made and found to be unfounded by the department, many case numbers that John Q public has access to. One female in a very big city that wanted to control all the dance arenas, and would stop at nothing short of murder to gain prominence among a few filthy underhanded worthless club owners. The main character Katherine was scorned by two ex lovers and wanted revenge to the point of absolute destruction to both of these educated and very striking men. An Emotional dance was performed by her to bring forth the Midnight Hour meant for complete ruin of these beautiful men. This book has exposed the underbelly of some unscrupulous dance studio renters that prey on innocent widows and other caring people that have had a loss of a loved one. These poor people are cheated out of large sums of money and given false hope in return, because of their need to feel wanted and accepted by others, they are hurting so bad and simply want to be loved once again. One very arrogant down town club renter, because they rent the space, has such a love of himself, that he truly believes he is the King of Los Vegas, how pathetic, small man syndrome comes to mind with this little person.

Book The Dancer

Download or read book The Dancer written by Evelyn Juers and published by Giramondo Publishing. This book was released on 2021-10-01 with total page 565 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The new book by prize-winning biographer Evelyn Juers, author of The House of Exile and The Recluse, portrays the life and background of a pioneering Australian dancer who died at the age of twenty-five in a remote town in India. A uniquely talented dancer and choreographer, Philippa Cullen grew up in Australia in the 1950s and 60s. In the 1970s, driven by the idea of dancing her own music, she was at the forefront of the new electronic music movement, working internationally with performers, avant-garde composers, engineers and mathematicians to build and experiment with theremins and movement-sensitive floors, which she called body-instruments. She had a unique sense of purpose, read widely, travelled the world, and danced at opera houses, art galleries and festivals, on streets and bridges, trains, clifftops, rooftops. She wrote, I would define dance as an outer manifestation of inner energy in an articulation more lucid than language. An embodiment of the artistic aspirations of her age, she died alone in a remote hill town in southern India in 1975. With detailed reference to Cullen’s personal papers and the recollections of those who knew her, and with her characteristic flair for drawing connections to bring in larger perspectives, Evelyn Juers’ The Dancer is at once an intimate and wide-ranging biography, a portrait of the artist as a young woman.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two boys, one heroic bond, and the molding of Greece’s greatest son. Before he became known as Alexander the Great, he was Alexandros, the teenage son of the king of Makedon. Rather than living a life of luxury, as prince he has to be better and learn faster than his peers, tackling problems without any help. One such problem involves his increasingly complicated feelings for his new companion, Hephaistion. When Alexandros and Hephaistion go to study under the philosopher Aristoteles, their evolving relationship becomes even harder to navigate. Strength, competition, and status define one’s fate in their world—a world that seems to have little room for the tenderness growing between them. Alexandros is expected to command, not to crave the warmth of friendship with an equal. In a kingdom where his shrewd mother and sister are deemed inferior for their sex, and his love for Hephaistion could be seen as submission to an older boy, Alexandros longs to be a human being when everyone but Hephaistion just wants him to be a king. **See this title's page on RiptidePublishing.com for content warnings.**

Book excerpt: It would be such a waste of time if we read the book and do not move on to a next level of followship. The journey of faith should become a cycle of faith with new levels of commitment that will be required as we start higher and deeper levels of the process time and again. Moving from discipleship to apostleship on the journey of faith will require that we sit down and count the cost once again, but this time on a higher level. Let us consider the words of A. J. Nock: The mind is like the stomach. It is not how much you put into it that counts, but how much it digests. So let us digest, act, and do.
