Book The Impact of Different Price Tag Font Colors on Consumer Behavior

Download or read book The Impact of Different Price Tag Font Colors on Consumer Behavior written by Timo Wilhelm Rang and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2014-01-13 with total page 17 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2011 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, grade: 1,7, University of Münster, language: English, abstract: In a world with a growing amount of surrounding stimuli, getting the attention of consumers is an increasingly demanding task for the marketers. Therefore, the usage of colors, lighting and other environmental stimuli finds great acceptance in advertising campaigns. But in retail situations the exploitation of color effects is until now almost solely limited to packaging etc. One disregarded application area is price tags, being an important component of purchase decisions. The purpose of the paper is to fill this gap with empirical evidence. The study at hand focuses on font color of price tags as an environmental stimulus influencing the pleasure and arousal level of the respondents and finally their pur-chase intention. The a priori assumption is that warm (yellow) and cool (blue) colors should elicit different reactions.

Book Eco Friendly and Fair

Download or read book Eco Friendly and Fair written by Mark Heuer and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-05-11 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The make-take-waste paradigm of fast fashion explains much of the producer and consumer behavior patterns towards fast fashion. The evolution from a two-season fashion calendar to fast fashion, characterized by rapid product cycles from retailers and impulse buying by consumers, presents new challenges to the environment, workplace and labour practices. This book provides a comprehensive overview of new insights into consumer behaviour mechanisms in order to shift practices toward sustainable fashion and to minimize the negative impacts of fast fashion on the environment and society. Concepts and techniques are presented that could overcome the formidable economic drivers of fast fashion and lead toward a future of sustainable fashion. While the need for change in the fashion industry post-Rana Plaza could not be more obvious, alternative and more sustainable consumption models have been under-investigated. The paucity of such research extends to highly consumptive consumer behaviours regarding fast fashion (i.e. impulse buying and throwaways) and the related impediments these behaviours pose for sustainable fashion. Written by leading researchers in the field of sustainable fashion and supported by the Textile Institute, this book evaluates fashion trends, what factors have led to new trends and how the factors supporting fast fashion differ from those of the past. It explores the economic drivers of fast fashion and what social, environmental and political factors should be maintained, and business approaches adopted, in order for fast fashion to be a sustainable model. In particular, it provides consumer behaviour concepts that can be utilized at the retail level to support sustainable fashion.

In this playful, deeply researched book, journalist Mark Ellwood takes a trip into this new landscape. From the floor of upscale department store Sergdorf Goodman to the bustling aisles of a Turkish bazaar, from the outlet Disneyworld of rural Pennsylvania to a town in Florida that can claim to be couponing's spiritual capital, Ellwood shows how some people are, quite literally, born to be bargain junkies thanks to a quirk of their DNA. If you think money can’t buy happiness, you’re not spending it right. Two rising stars in behavioral science explain how money can buy happiness—if you follow five core principles of smarter spending. Happy Money offers a tour of new research on the science of spending. Most people recognize that they need professional advice on how to earn, save, and invest their money. When it comes to spending that money, most people just follow their intuitions. But scientific research shows that those intuitions are often wrong. Happy Money explains why you can get more happiness for your money by following five principles, from choosing experiences over stuff to spending money on others. And the five principles can be used not only by individuals but by companies seeking to create happier employees and provide “happier products” to their customers. Elizabeth Dunn and Michael Norton show how companies from Google to Pepsi to Crate & Barrel have put these ideas into action. Along the way, the authors describe new research that reveals that luxury cars often provide no more pleasure than economy models, that commercials can actually enhance the enjoyment of watching television, and that residents of many cities frequently miss out on inexpensive pleasures in their hometowns. By the end of this book, readers will ask themselves one simple question whenever they reach for their wallets: Am I getting the biggest happiness bang for my buck?

What truly influences our decisions in today’s message-cluttered world? In Buyology, Martin Lindstrom presents the astonishing findings from his groundbreaking three-year, seven-million-dollar neuromarketing study—a cutting-edge experiment that peered inside the brains of 2,000 volunteers from all around the world as they encountered various ads, logos, commercials, brands, and products. Book Psychology of Branding

Download or read book Psychology of Branding written by W. Douglas Evans and published by Nova Science Publishers. This book was released on 2013 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This title explores the psychological factors underlying brand choices we make. How we encounter brands (and how often we), think about them, feel about them, and how we experience them in relation to competing brands, has a big effect on which ones we choose, and keep on choosing. At the same time, presumably there are neural events occurring when we encounter and mentally respond to brands. These represent ways in which we can explain and understand why people choose and remain loyal to brands. These explanations of branding are related and intuitive. But how does the psychology of branding work? This book offers answers to that question.
