This book was released on 2019-04-05 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Satan s Greatest Lies written by George H. Russell and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2021-10-25 with total page 307 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For many years, George H. Russell has struggled to understand the meaning and purpose of ‘Organized Religion’ as condemned by Jesus and also to understand why wars and genocide are frequently associated with religion—making it seem that death and destruction are somehow condoned by God. While singing ‘Onward Christian Soldiers, Marching As to War’ in church, Russell could think only about Christians slaughtering Jews, Moors, Native Americans and others all in the name of Jesus. Satan’s Greatest Lies chronicles Russell’s attempts to understand a peculiar interpretation of Christian ideology encountered while living in East Texas. This is the introductory part of his book , followed by The Ethician Bible in which Satanic verses are removed from The Holy Bible by the author to spread only God’s loving messages to humankind. In Russell’s opinion, many of the messages in the Bible should be considered as sent from an evil Satan, not a benevolent God.
Download or read book Adrift on a Sea of Lies written by and published by David Klooz. This book was released on 2019-09-26 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How would you feel if you were told that everything you thought you knew was a lie? Humanity has been living with amnesia since the dawn of civilization. Mankind has believed that authority provides the truth, rather than truth provides the authority. This book is an attempt to find the truth of our past and the real history of our civilization, why it has been hidden away from us and by whom. It is our story, with a different theory of the beginning of the universe to the coming totalitarian society of today. It follows our history from the cataclysm in our solar system and on Earth in 10,900 BCE, through the formation of all religions, mystery schools and secret societies that still exist today. Because there are too many dots to connect, it instead, follows a thread of greed, power and control through all the world’s major events, wars, assassinations, fake terrorism, fake news, and false flag events, such as 9/11 and the London tube bombings. It reveals our actual history and attempts to provide evidence that demonstrates that this is not a conspiracy theory, but a reality. In the West, the ‘authorities’ want to keep us occupied and non-thinking, with ‘reality’ television shows, televised sports, sixty-hour work weeks, alcohol and drug abuse, texting on our iPhones, believing in the lies or partial lies they want us to believe in and leave the thinking to them. Religious institutions, the educational system, the justice system, the economic system, the media, and even secret societies, have been infiltrated and usurped by these individuals and others with the same philosophy, at mankind’s expense. These individuals have no empathy and no concern for the human condition. They seek only one thing, and that is power, the power to control. To them, power is more than an addiction, but a right. Knowledge is the form of their initial power. They use that to gain economic power, control and influence, and then infiltrate all levels of society until they infect the entire planet. Their religion is worshipping the ‘self’ and their ‘ego’ and they believe that their unique ego is their ‘divine spark’. Their motto is ‘Do as thou wilt’. Who are these individuals? Why and how have they managed to do this over the past 12,000 years? Is there anything we can do that might reverse this during the next 12,000 years? Can we ensure this doesn’t happen again during the next cycle of our Earth, or will it repeat again and again, with only minor changes? These are the questions that I hope to, if not answer, give at least some direction where we can find some hope to recapture our civilization.

Download or read book The Great Lie written by F. Flagg Taylor and published by ISI Books. This book was released on 2011-08-15 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Most Insightful and Profound Reflections on Tyranny. Totalitarianism was the dominant phenomenon of the twentieth century. Deeply troubling questions endure regarding the nature of such tyrannical regimes: What enabled human beings to carry out such horrific crimes against their fellow man? What does the endurance of Communism reveal about human liberty? Why did human beings suffer rule by ideological lies for so long, and what kept them open to the truth? What are we to make of the relationship between totalitarianism and the foundational principles of democratic modernity? Some of the greatest minds of the twentieth century sought answers to these haunting questions. Now, for the first time ever, their incisive and profound reflections on totalitarianism have been brought together in one book. The Great Lie showcases the insights of such giants as Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Vaclav Havel, Hannah Arendt, Eric Voegelin, Czeslaw Milosz, Leo Strauss, and Raymond Aron, along with neglected but important thinkers such as Waldemar Gurian, Aurel Kolnai, Leszek Kolakowski, Pierre Manent, Claude Lefort, and Chantal Delsol. The brilliant essays in this volume illuminate the very nature of totalitarian regimes, and the monstrous ideology that is their defining feature. The Great Lie allows readers to make sense of political evil and how it can attract so many people into its ideological fold. This is not a matter of mere academic interest in an age when we confront totalitarianism in such regimes as North Korea and Cuba—and, arguably, in radical Islamist movements.
Download or read book History s Greatest Lies written by William Weir and published by Quarto Publishing Group USA. This book was released on 2009-01-01 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Get the real facts you weren’t taught in school and learn how these myths have survived for so long. Discover the stories behind history’s greatest lies and how—and why—the world’s biggest whoppers have survived textbooks and lesson plans for years. For instance, did you know the conquistador Hernán Cortés wasn’t as bloodthirsty as they say? Neither were the Goths, who were actually the most progressive of the Germanic tribes. Or, that a petty criminal with a resemblance to John Dillinger was probably assassinated instead of the notorious bank robber? In History’s Greatest Lies, Weir sets the record straight through a fascinating examination of historical lies and myths and the true stories behind them. Each chapter pinpoints a misconception held as common truth in history. For example: Emperor Nero did not fiddle as Rome burned Paul Revere had plenty of help in his midnight ride In terms of prisons, the Bastille wasn’t all that bad Weir explains why each lie persevered in our minds through ulterior motives, responsibility shirking, or exaggerations. You’ll also discover the common threads that make up these falsehoods: the scapegoats, the spin needed to cast undeserving in a better light, and the frightful oversimplification of facts. Praise for History’s Greatest Lies “Weir takes no prisoners—and tells no lies—in his continuously surprising and always fascinating new book. Great falsehoods have shaped history even more than great truths; the enduring fascination of this highly original volume is discovering how much of what we accept for fact is just plain wrong.” —Joe Cummins, author of The War Chronicles: From Chariots to Flintlocks and History’s Greatest Untold Stories

Where is Jesus? He is there still buried beneath the 2,000 years of lies and hypocrisies of the Christianity of Paul. If the Jews crucified the living Jesus on the cross, the Christianity of Paul murdered the risen Christ right after his resurrection. Behold the “TEN GREATEST LIES & HYPOCRISIES” that up to now are wreaking havoc in our Christian world. Happy reading!

Book excerpt: NATIONAL BESTSELLER • The gripping story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos—one of the biggest corporate frauds in history—a tale of ambition and hubris set amid the bold promises of Silicon Valley, rigorously reported by the prize-winning journalist. With a new Afterword covering her trial and sentencing, bringing the story to a close. “Chilling ... Reads like a thriller ... Carreyrou tells [the Theranos story] virtually to perfection.” —The New York Times Book Review In 2014, Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was widely seen as the next Steve Jobs: a brilliant Stanford dropout whose startup “unicorn” promised to revolutionize the medical industry with its breakthrough device, which performed the whole range of laboratory tests from a single drop of blood. Backed by investors such as Larry Ellison and Tim Draper, Theranos sold shares in a fundraising round that valued the company at more than $9 billion, putting Holmes’s worth at an estimated $4.5 billion. There was just one problem: The technology didn’t work. Erroneous results put patients in danger, leading to misdiagnoses and unnecessary treatments. All the while, Holmes and her partner, Sunny Balwani, worked to silence anyone who voiced misgivings—from journalists to their own employees.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: FINALIST FOR THE NATIONAL BOOK AWARD AND LOS ANGELES TIMES BOOK PRIZE; SHORT-LISTED FOR THE J. ANTHONY LUKAS PRIZE; A BCALA 2023 HONOR NONFICTION AWARD WINNER. A landmark biography by two prizewinning Washington Post reporters that reveals how systemic racism shaped George Floyd's life and legacy—from his family’s roots in the tobacco fields of North Carolina, to ongoing inequality in housing, education, health care, criminal justice, and policing—telling the story of how one man’s tragic experience brought about a global movement for change. “It is a testament to the power of His Name Is George Floyd that the book’s most vital moments come not after Floyd’s death, but in its intimate, unvarnished and scrupulous account of his life . . . Impressive.” —New York Times Book Review (Editors' Choice) “Since we know George Floyd’s death with tragic clarity, we must know Floyd’s America—and life—with tragic clarity. Essential for our times.” —Ibram X. Kendi, author of How to Be an Antiracist “A much-needed portrait of the life, times, and martyrdom of George Floyd, a chronicle of the racial awakening sparked by his brutal and untimely death, and an essential work of history I hope everyone will read.” —Henry Louis Gates, Jr., author of The Black Church: This Is Our Story, This Is Our Song The events of that day are now tragically familiar: on May 25, 2020, George Floyd became the latest Black person to die at the hands of the police, murdered outside of a Minneapolis convenience store by white officer Derek Chauvin. The video recording of his death set off a series of protests in the United States and around the world, awakening millions to the dire need for reimagining this country’s broken systems of policing. But behind a face that would be graffitied onto countless murals, and a name that has become synonymous with civil rights, there is the reality of one man’s stolen life: a life beset by suffocating systemic pressures that ultimately proved inescapable. This biography of George Floyd shows the athletic young boy raised in the projects of Houston’s Third Ward who would become a father, a partner, a friend, and a man constantly in search of a better life. In retracing Floyd’s story, Washington Post reporters Robert Samuels and Toluse Olorunnipa bring to light the determination Floyd carried as he faced the relentless struggle to survive as a Black man in America. Placing his narrative within the larger context of America’s deeply troubled history of institutional racism, His Name Is George Floyd examines the Floyd family’s roots in slavery and sharecropping, the segregation of his Houston schools, the overpolicing of his communities, the devastating snares of the prison system, and his attempts to break free from drug dependence—putting today's inequality into uniquely human terms. Drawing upon hundreds of interviews and extensive original reporting, Samuels and Olorunnipa offer a poignant and moving exploration of George Floyd’s America, revealing how a man who simply wanted to breathe ended up touching the world.
Download or read book The Big Lie written by Jonathan Lemire and published by Flatiron Books. This book was released on 2022-07-26 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER From the WHITE HOUSE BUREAU CHIEF OF POLITICO and the host of MSNBC's WAY TOO EARLY comes a probing and illuminating analysis of the current state of American politics, democracy, and elections. “[Lemire] has done his homework.” –The Guardian Jonathan Lemire uncovers that “The Big Lie,” as it’s been termed, isn’t just about the 2020 election. It's become a political philosophy that has only further divided the two parties. Donald Trump first tried it out in 2016, at an August rally in Ohio. He said that perhaps he wouldn’t accept the election results in his race against Hillary Clinton, that the election was “rigged.” He didn’t have to challenge the result that year, but the stage was set. When he lost in 2020, he started the lie back up again and to devastating results: an insurrection at the Capitol in January 2021. In the more than five tumultuous, paradigm-shifting years of Donald Trump’s presidency and beyond, his near-constant lying has become a fixture of political life. It is inextricably linked with how his party behaves, how the Democrats respond to it, and how he remains relevant, even after a decisive loss in 2020. Jonathan Lemire brings his connections, profile, and dogged reportorial instincts to bear in his first book that explores how this phenomenon shapes our politics. Written with sharp political insight and detailed with dozens of interviews, The Big Lie is the first book to examine this unprecedented and tenuous moment in our nation’s politics.
Download or read book The Late Great Planet Earth written by Hal Lindsey and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2016-10-11 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The impact of The Late Great Planet Earth cannot be overstated. The New York Times called it the "no. 1 non-fiction bestseller of the decade." For Christians and non-Christians of the 1970s, Hal Lindsey's blockbuster served as a wake-up call on events soon to come and events already unfolding -- all leading up to the greatest event of all: the return of Jesus Christ. The years since have confirmed Lindsey's insights into what biblical prophecy says about the times we live in. Whether you're a church-going believer or someone who wouldn't darken the door of a Christian institution, the Bible has much to tell you about the imminent future of this planet. In the midst of an out-of-control generation, it reveals a grand design that's unfolding exactly according to plan. The rebirth of Israel. The threat of war in the Middle East. An increase in natural catastrophes. The revival of Satanism and witchcraft. These and other signs, foreseen by prophets from Moses to Jesus, portend the coming of an antichrist . . . of a war which will bring humanity to the brink of destruction . . . and of incredible deliverance for a desperate, dying planet.
