Book The Generalized Relative Gol dberg Order and Type Some Remarks on Functions of Complex Variables

Download or read book The Generalized Relative Gol dberg Order and Type Some Remarks on Functions of Complex Variables written by Tanmay Biswas and published by Bentham Science Publishers. This book was released on 2021-07-07 with total page 161 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The Generalized Relative Gol‘dberg Order and Type: Some Remarks on Functions of Complex Variables, the authors have discussed the generalized comparative growth analysis of entire functions of several complex variables at length. The discussion covers the important branch of complex analysis specially the theory of analytic functions of several variables. The book contains eight chapters. Chapter 1 presents introductory aspects of the topic and some preliminary definitions. In the proceeding chapters (2-8), the authors derive some results about the generalized Gol'dberg order (α,β) and generalized Gol'dberg type (α,β) of entire functions of several complex variables which progressively explores different variations of these variables, (upper and lower, functions, inequalities, growth measures). The book culminates in an explanation of the sum and product theorems depending on the generalized relative Gol'dberg order (α,β). This monograph is intended for mathematical researchers and enthusiasts who wish to expand their understanding about complex variables of several functions and complex and related aspects of complex analysis.

Book Youth in the Middle Ages

Download or read book Youth in the Middle Ages written by P. J. P. Goldberg and published by Boydell & Brewer. This book was released on 2004 with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Evidence for childhood and youth from the sixth century to the sixteenth, but with particular emphasis on later medieval England. Moving on from the legacy of Ariès, these essays address evidence for childhood and youth from the sixth century to the sixteenth, but with particular emphasis on later medieval England. The contents include the idea of childhoodin the writing of Gregory of Tours, skaldic verse narratives and their implications for the understanding of kingship, Jewish communities of Northern Europe for whom children represented the continuity of a persecuted faith, children in the records of the northern Italian Humiliati, the meaning of romance narratives centred around the departure of the hero or heroine from the natal hearth, the age at which later medieval English youngsters left home, how far they travelled and where they went, literary sources revealing the politicisation of the idea of the child, and the response of young, affluent females to homiletic literature and the iconography of the virgin martyrs in the later middle ages. Contributors: FRANCES E. ANDREWS, HELEN COOPER, P.J.P.GOLDBERG, SIMCHA GOLDIN, EDWARD F. JAMES, JUDITH JESCH, KIM M. PHILLIPS, MIKE TYLER, ROSALYNN VOADEN.

Book General Inequalities 7

Download or read book General Inequalities 7 written by Catherine Bandle and published by Birkhäuser. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inequalities continue to play an essential role in mathematics. The subject is per haps the last field that is comprehended and used by mathematicians working in all the areas of the discipline of mathematics. Since the seminal work Inequalities (1934) of Hardy, Littlewood and P6lya mathematicians have laboured to extend and sharpen the earlier classical inequalities. New inequalities are discovered ev ery year, some for their intrinsic interest whilst others flow from results obtained in various branches of mathematics. So extensive are these developments that a new mathematical periodical devoted exclusively to inequalities will soon appear; this is the Journal of Inequalities and Applications, to be edited by R. P. Agar wal. Nowadays it is difficult to follow all these developments and because of lack of communication between different groups of specialists many results are often rediscovered several times. Surveys of the present state of the art are therefore in dispensable not only to mathematicians but to the scientific community at large. The study of inequalities reflects the many and various aspects of mathemat ics. There is on the one hand the systematic search for the basic principles and the study of inequalities for their own sake. On the other hand the subject is a source of ingenious ideas and methods that give rise to seemingly elementary but nevertheless serious and challenging problems. There are many applications in a wide variety of fields from mathematical physics to biology and economics.

Book Time Series Analysis and Forecasting by Example

Download or read book Time Series Analysis and Forecasting by Example written by Søren Bisgaard and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2011-08-24 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An intuition-based approach enables you to master time series analysis with ease Time Series Analysis and Forecasting by Example provides the fundamental techniques in time series analysis using various examples. By introducing necessary theory through examples that showcase the discussed topics, the authors successfully help readers develop an intuitive understanding of seemingly complicated time series models and their implications. The book presents methodologies for time series analysis in a simplified, example-based approach. Using graphics, the authors discuss each presented example in detail and explain the relevant theory while also focusing on the interpretation of results in data analysis. Following a discussion of why autocorrelation is often observed when data is collected in time, subsequent chapters explore related topics, including: Graphical tools in time series analysis Procedures for developing stationary, non-stationary, and seasonal models How to choose the best time series model Constant term and cancellation of terms in ARIMA models Forecasting using transfer function-noise models The final chapter is dedicated to key topics such as spurious relationships, autocorrelation in regression, and multiple time series. Throughout the book, real-world examples illustrate step-by-step procedures and instructions using statistical software packages such as SAS, JMP, Minitab, SCA, and R. A related Web site features PowerPoint slides to accompany each chapter as well as the book's data sets. With its extensive use of graphics and examples to explain key concepts, Time Series Analysis and Forecasting by Example is an excellent book for courses on time series analysis at the upper-undergraduate and graduate levels. it also serves as a valuable resource for practitioners and researchers who carry out data and time series analysis in the fields of engineering, business, and economics.
