Book Organic Field Effect Transistors

Download or read book Organic Field Effect Transistors written by Ioannis Kymissis and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-12-25 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Organic Field Effect Transistors presents the state of the art in organic field effect transistors (OFETs), with a particular focus on the materials and techniques useful for making integrated circuits. The monograph begins with some general background on organic semiconductors, discusses the types of organic semiconductor materials suitable for making field effect transistors, the fabrication processes used to make integrated Circuits, and appropriate methods for measurement and modeling. Organic Field Effect Transistors is written as a basic introduction to the subject for practitioners. It will also be of interest to researchers looking for references and techniques that are not part of their subject area or routine. A synthetic organic chemist, for example, who is interested in making OFETs may use the book more as a device design and characterization reference. A thin film processing electrical engineer, on the other hand, may be interested in the book to learn about what types of electron carrying organic semiconductors may be worth trying and learning more about organic semiconductor physics.

Book Research on Microwave Junction Gate Field Effect Transistors

Download or read book Research on Microwave Junction Gate Field Effect Transistors written by S. K. Ghandhi and published by . This book was released on 1979 with total page 15 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This program has considered basic problems in the fabrication of junction-gate FET devices. We have shown that Ga(x)In(1-x)As layers can be grown of the appropriate composition (x = 0.468 + or - 3%) required to obtain a good lattice match to indium phosphide substrates. Additionally, techniques have been developed for in-situ etch of substrates prior to epitaxial growth. Diffusion and masking techniques have been developed for making junctions with no enhanced lateral diffusion. These diffusions are carried out in the absence of an arsenic overpressure, and are limited to n-type layers at the present time. (Author).

Book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences

Download or read book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences written by W. H. Shafer and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-14 with total page 307 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences was first conceived, published, and dis seminated by the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS) * at Purdue University in 1957, starting its coverage of theses with the academic year 1955. Beginning with Volume 13, the printing and dissemination phases of the ac tivity were transferred to University Microfilms/Xerox of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the thought that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to the academic and general scientific and technical community. After five years of this joint undertaking we had concluded that it was in the interest of all concerned if the printing and distribution of the volume were handled by an international publishing house to assure improved service and broader dissemination. Hence, starting with Volume 18, Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences has been disseminated on a worldwide basis by Plenum Publishing Corporation of New York, and in the same year the coverage was broadened to include Canadian universities. All back issues can also be ordered from Plenum. We have reported in Volume 24 (thesis year 1979) a total of 10,033 theses titles from 26 Canadian and 215 United States universities. We are sure that this broader base for theses titles reported will greatly enhance the value of this important annual reference work. While Volume 24 reports these submitted in 1979, on occasion, certain universities do report theses submitted in previous years but not reported at the time.

Book Microwave Field Effect Transistor Development

Download or read book Microwave Field Effect Transistor Development written by Herbert Goronkin and published by . This book was released on 1974 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of the program was to fabricate a 10-watt F-Band field effect transistor. Two approaches were taken. The multiple mask approach was found to be cumbersome and generally difficult to execute for a 2.5 micron geometry device. Rather than pursue this approach, a second design was initiated which involved self-registration of the source and drain with respect to the gate by means of a selective epitaxial region which comprises the electrical channel. Due to several unanticipated process difficulties (for which solutions have been identified) time did not allow for completion of the fabrication portion of the FET-11 effort. Preliminary findings indicate that the approach is feasible and should be expected to yield microwave power field effect transistors. (Author).

Book Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Electronics

Download or read book Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Electronics written by A. G. Milnes and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 1014 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For some time there has been a need for a semiconductor device book that carries diode and transistor theory beyond an introductory level and yet has space to touch on a wider range of semiconductor device principles and applica tions. Such topics are covered in specialized monographs numbering many hun dreds, but the voluminous nature of this literature limits access for students. This book is the outcome of attempts to develop a broad course on devices and integrated electronics for university students at about senior-year level. The edu cational prerequisites are an introductory course in semiconductor junction and transistor concepts, and a course on analog and digital circuits that has intro duced the concepts of rectification, amplification, oscillators, modulation and logic and SWitching circuits. The book should also be of value to professional engineers and physicists because of both, the information included and the de tailed guide to the literature given by the references. The aim has been to bring some measure of order into the subject area examined and to provide a basic structure from which teachers may develop themes that are of most interest to students and themselves. Semiconductor devices and integrated circuits are reviewed and fundamental factors that control power levels, frequency, speed, size and cost are discussed. The text also briefly mentions how devices are used and presents circuits and comments on representative applications. Thus, the book seeks a balance be tween the extremes of device physics and circuit design.

Book Microwave Field Effect Transistor Development

Download or read book Microwave Field Effect Transistor Development written by Michael C. Driver and published by . This book was released on 1973 with total page 71 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: HE DEVELOPMENT OF A GALLIUM ARSENIDE Schottky barrier gate field effect transistor to deliver power at microwave frequencies. The program achieved 1.2 watts of saturated power at 3.0 GHz with six small (500 micrometers wide) devices wired in parallel on a single chip carrier. The small signal gain of individual devices at this frequency was as high as 10 dB with cut off frequencies of 10 GHz. A 5 dB gain at 3 GHz with 800 milliwatts of output power was achieved with 6 devices in parallel. Measurements were made of intermodulation products showing -23 dB third order IMP at small signal levels which is a typical result for devices that have not been optimized for low harmonic distortion. A mercury probe was developed for the rapid evaluation of expitaxial material for FET fabrication. (Modified author abstract).
