Book excerpt: The internet's most famous celebrities hate each other. Or, at least they think they do...There was a lot I did to get to this point, to get 42 million followers. Some of it I was proud of, most of it I wasn't.There was a group of us, all internet celebrities, and everyone wanted in, which is how six of us ended up living in this mansion, a camera always on, the public always watching. Two months and nine carefully scripted TV episodes that would get us more of the three F's we were desperately chasing.Fame. Fortune. Followers.I knew my role. I was Emma, the unlikeable one. The dark villain with the devious smile. The package of dynamite that would blow up any chance of peaceful living and harmony.Cash knew his role. He was the good guy. The lovable one. The one that everyone, even the darkest cast member of them all, would fall in love with.hey were supposed to just be roles.None of it was supposed to be real.My heart didn't get that memo.

Download or read book The F ck It List written by Kevin Pryslak and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2016-11-08 with total page 117 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Face it, life is short and who has time to see 1000 places, read 1000 more "classics" or see 1000 movies somebody else deems essential, and all that nonsense? Here is a list of 101 things you should never bother with from the fiendishly clever mind of Kevin Pryslak. The F*ck It List is a hilarious middle-finger salute to all those absurd life goals that will ensure an anxiety-filled middle age will be followed by shame-filled golden years. It pokes a sorely needed pin into a bloated rite of passage that's ripe for deflation. Do you really need to firewalk or didn't Oprah and Tony Robbins take care of that for us? Swimming with sharks is a really dumb idea, so let's leave that with the gullible reality tv desperadoes, shall we? Kevin Pryslak has come up with a "to don't list" that will have you laughing out loud and leave you with lots more time to do the all the things YOU really want to do!
Download or read book The F It List written by Eric Byrnes and published by . This book was released on 2019-11-06 with total page 488 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is more than just a book. It's an attitude. It's a mentality. It's a lifestyle. The F*IT List is my journey, my life, my lessons, my successes, and my many failures... in my own words. This is a lifestyle as much as it is an actual list of shit to get done. It is an attitude that bleeds into every aspect of your life. It constantly challenges you to question the norms of society and push the limits of the status quo. Specifically, your status quo. Most importantly, The F*It List forces action. It promotes energy and gives life. It allows you to stand up for what you believe, but also helps give perspective on external situations and opinions outside of your control. It's not always comfortable and in many instances, it is downright scary. Yet, instead of searching for the meaning of life, you will be authentically living it. Too often we put limits on ourselves, creating boundaries around what we believe we are capable of. We immerse ourselves in a fixed mindset and make every excuse along the way. I'm too old, I'm too young, I'm too tired, I'm too shy, I'm too weak, I'm not smart enough, I'm not pretty enough, I'm not rich enough, I'm not a good enough athlete..." Bullshit! If there is one TRUTH that I have learned in life, it's that you get out what you put in. The question then becomes, are you willing to put in the work to challenge yourself to live your authentic life? Are you willing to say f*ck the result while completely embracing everything the process has to offer? It's not always that easy to say f*ck it... The F*It List is a collection of real-life stories compiled over the last 40 years, all about the PROCESS. Every story is complimented with a 'Human Crash Test Dummy Life Lesson' drawn from each invaluable experience.

Download or read book Automation of Reasoning written by J. Siekmann and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 641 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Kind of crude, but it works, boy, it works!" AZan NeweZZ to Herb Simon, Christmas 1955 In 1954 a computer program produced what appears to be the first computer generated mathematical proof: Written by M. Davis at the Institute of Advanced Studies, USA, it proved a number theoretic theorem in Presburger Arithmetic. Christmas 1955 heralded a computer program which generated the first proofs of some propositions of Principia Mathematica, developed by A. Newell, J. Shaw, and H. Simon at RAND Corporation, USA. In Sweden, H. Prawitz, D. Prawitz, and N. Voghera produced the first general program for the full first order predicate calculus to prove mathematical theorems; their computer proofs were obtained around 1957 and 1958, about the same time that H. Gelernter finished a computer program to prove simple high school geometry theorems. Since the field of computational logic (or automated theorem proving) is emerging from the ivory tower of academic research into real world applications, asserting also a definite place in many university curricula, we feel the time has corne to examine and evaluate its history. The article by Martin Davis in the first of this series of volumes traces the most influential ideas back to the 'prehistory' of early logical thought showing how these ideas influenced the underlying concepts of most early automatic theorem proving programs.

In addition, they significantly clarify the often complicated legal requirements placed on both secondary and post-secondary institutions by state and federal government. This informative book offers specific, practical, and cost-effective solutions to the problems of waste disposal, from a description of a successful program to conduct a one-time cleanout of secondary schools, to the identification of chemicals that have no identity. Approaches to waste disposal taken around the country, including in-house treatment, lab packing, and the benefits of recycling through waste exchange programs are covered.

Book excerpt: "This work strikes a balance between the pure functional aspects of F# and the object-oriented and imperative features that make it so useful in practice, enable .NET integration, and make large-scale data processing possible." —Thore Graepel, PhD, Researcher, Microsoft Research Ltd. Over the next five years, F# is expected to become one of the world's most popular functional programming languages for scientists of all disciplines working on the Windows platform. F# is free and, unlike MATLAB® and other software with numerical/scientific origins, is a full-fledged programming language. Developed in consultation with Don Syme of Microsoft Research Ltd.—who wrote the language—F# for Scientists explains and demonstrates the powerful features of this important new programming language. The book assumes no prior experience and guides the reader from the basics of computer programming to the implementation of state-of-the-art algorithms. F# for Scientists begins with coverage of introductory material in the areas of functional programming, .NET, and scientific computing, and goes on to explore: Program structure Optimization Data structures Libraries Numerical analysis Databases Input and output Interoperability Visualization Screenshots of development using Visual Studio are used to illustrate compilation, debugging, and interactive use, while complete examples of a few whole programs are included to give readers a complete view of F#'s capabilities. Written in a clear and concise style, F# for Scientists is well suited for researchers, scientists, and developers who want to program under the Windows platform. It also serves as an ideal supplemental text for advanced undergraduate and graduate students with a background in science or engineering.
