Book Range Distribution of the Charged Particles from the D D Reactions for 10 Mev Deuterons

Download or read book Range Distribution of the Charged Particles from the D D Reactions for 10 Mev Deuterons written by Louis Rosen and published by . This book was released on 1949 with total page 16 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Microphotographic techniques have been used to obtain the range distribution of the charged particles resulting from the D-D reactions at center of mass angles of 40 degress, 60 degress, and 80 degress for 10-Mev deuterons. At 80 degrees all of the groups of charged particles from these reactions are clearly resolved. The differential D-D elastic scattering cross sections have been obtained for the same angles and for these angles the cross sections per unit solid angle in the center of mass system are in the ratios of 1.00: 0.51: 0.42, respectively.

Book Improved Evaluation of the Differential Cross Sections of the 3H d N 4He Reaction for Deuteron Energies Between 3 and 7 MeV

Download or read book Improved Evaluation of the Differential Cross Sections of the 3H d N 4He Reaction for Deuteron Energies Between 3 and 7 MeV written by and published by . This book was released on 1980 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For deuteron energies below 7 MeV, the evaluation of the differential cross sections of the 3H(d, n)4He reaction was improved by including three associated 4He particle excitation functions between 4 and 11 MeV. Above 7 MeV, the scale agrees within error limits with that of a previous evaluation, and no energy-dependent systematic deviations between measured and predicted values are observed. However, deviations of up to 20% from the Liskien and Paulsen evaluation are observed. 3 figures, 1 table.

Book Differential Cross Section Measurement for the D n Np Reaction

Download or read book Differential Cross Section Measurement for the D n Np Reaction written by Sho Uemura and published by . This book was released on 2010 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The differential cross section for the quasielastic d(n, np) neutron-induced deuteron breakup reaction was measured as a function of incident and scattered particle energies and angles, using a liquid deuterium target at the Weapons Neutron Research (WNR) spallation neutron beam at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Cross sections were computed for the incident neutron energy ranges of 10010, 20010, and 30010 MeV. We used proton detectors covering a range of = 17 - 25 in the lab frame, and neutron detectors covering a range of = 55 - 76 in the lab frame. Experiment setup and data analysis are discussed, and preliminary results are presented for the cross section.
