Book The Eternal Geets of BHAGAVAD GITA

Download or read book The Eternal Geets of BHAGAVAD GITA written by Akhilesh Gumashta and published by Prabhat Prakashan. This book was released on 2019-04-06 with total page 510 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “One should not fail to thoroughly understand the Bhagavad Gita as ancient Science of worldly life.”—These were the words of Lokmanya Tilak. Truly; this is a true scripture of the human race as a living creation rather than a book; with a new message for every civilisation. As the days pass on; it’s becoming more relevant for ages to come. Adi Shankaracharya brought it out from Epic Mahabharat as a clear knowledge to fulfil all the goals of human existence. From ancient to the modern brains it became source of inspiration. For Albert Einstein Bhagavad Gita was the main source of inspiration and guide for the purpose of scientific investigations and formation of his theories. Purpose of bringing this book is not just to increase the readability and quotability of Bhagavad Gita through verses and haikus but also to increase spirituality among masses. With the hope that this book will be taken by the readers as a creation and not just a book; and will be a reference text to wide range of readers from students to philosophers; from spiritualists to scientists and writers; it is offered to the mankind.

The sun of Treta Yuga (the third season of life on Earth) is setting on the centuries-old Rig Veda Sarasvati civilisation, which is nearing civil war.On the battlefield of Kurukshetra in North India, the royal households, noble warriors and skilled militants of ancient India have formed allegiance with two opposing forces - the Pandavas and the Kauravas. Here, in conversation with Arjuna, Lord Krishna delivers the Bhagavad Gita - the eternal song of sublime truth, relevant in all times and places and to all people. It is in service to this sublime truth that Vijaya Acharya offers a distinguished and uniquely modern translation for a new millennium. Book excerpt: The largest-selling edition of the Gita in the Western world, Bhagavad-gita As It Is is more than a book. It is alive with knowledge and devotion; thus it has the power to change your life for the better. Bhagavad-gita is knowledge of five basic truths and the relationship of each truth to the other: These five truths are Krishna, or God, the individual soul, the material world, action in this world, and time. The Gita lucidly explains the nature of consciousness, the self, and the universe. It is the essence of India's spiritual wisdom, the answers to questions posed by philosophers for centuries. In translating the Gita, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada has remained loyal to the intended meaning of Krishna's words, and thus he has unlocked all the secrets of the ancient knowledge of the Gita and placed them before us as an exciting opportunity for self-improvement and spiritual fulfillment. The Gita is a conversation between Krishna and His dear friend Arjuna. At the last moment before entering a battle between brothers and friends, the great warrior Arjuna begins to wonder: Why should he fight? What is the meaning of his life? Where is he going after death? In response, Krishna brings His friend from perplexity to spiritual enlightenment, and each one of us is invited to walk the same path.

Book Secrets of Living Eternal Fountain of Inspiration in Bhagavad Gita

This book was released on 2011-05-10 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Secrets of Living is based on the teachings of Bhagawad Gita, one of the most widely read books in the world. In today's busy life, we hardly get any time to meditate deeper into the meaning and purpose of life. We tend to take certain things for granted such as our status, wealth, educational achievements, etc.and also presume that they will be given to us in our next birth. But scriptures do not endorse this view. All our possessions, or the lack of them, are the result of our karma in the previous births. We rewrite our destiny everyday for our future births. Hence we should decide our actions in accordance with the teachings of our scriptures and not allow our materialistic aspirations to distort our understanding and conduct in this world. Also one should not wait till the old age to start reading the scriptures. The right age to read scriptures is as early as one gets the consciousness so as to minimize the loss of deep, illuminating thoughts which an insightful reading of Bhagavad Gita entails and hence, engage in righteous actions. The divine wisdom of Lord Krishna, encapsulated in the Bhagavad Gita, is addressed to each and evert individual to help solving perplexing problems and progress towards a brighter future.

Book Essence of Bhagavad Gita

Download or read book Essence of Bhagavad Gita written by V. Ravi and published by MANBLUNDER. This book was released on 2012-09-19 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bhagavad Gita is the condensed form of all the 108 Upanishads put together. Bhagavad means the Brahman and Gita means song. If one needs a literal translation of Bhagavad Gita, then it is ?the song of the Brahman'. Bhagavad Gita consists of 700 verses, mostly addressed by the Brahman, wherein He imparts the supreme knowledge to one of His creations. Brahman in this context is Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Vishnu or Narayana and the disciple is Arjuna, one amongst the five Pandavas. Since they were fathered by the king Pandu, they are called Pandavas. Pandavas are five brothers, each of them representing the five basic elements of the universe. It must be remembered that these five elements rule the five chakras, muladhara to vishudi. The verses of the Gita are in the form of questions and answers. Arjuna, the warrior clears his doubts from Krishna in the midst of a battle field. Krishna represents the Brahman, Arjuna represents soul and battle field represents the sensory organs of the gross body. The teachings of Krishna in Bhagavad Gita are practical and easy to follow. The concept of life is explained in these 700 comprehensive verses in 18 chapters. If one decides to follow the teachings of Krishna, he is not reborn. Even during this birth, if the sermons of Krishna are followed, one will not feel the miseries and sorrows. The cause and source of sufferings and the ways and means of getting rid of them are expounded. After all, it is the teaching of the Brahman Himself.
