Book The ElePhant Who Got Bullied

Download or read book The ElePhant Who Got Bullied written by Daniel Gershkovitz and published by Daniel Gershkovitz. This book was released on 2021-01-22 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Elephant Who Got Bullied is the tenth book by author Daniel Gershkovitz following the publication of We Can Do It! a collection of four stories, and We Can Do Anything! with five more. The idea for this book was conceived by his ten-year-old daughter, Hila, who asked him to write a story about how wrong and harmful it is to bully and torment the weak. She was an active and important partner in its writing, editing, and illustrations of the story. Just like Daniel's other works, The Elephant Who Got Bullied also deals with the issue of values and social interaction, both clearly significant to children's lives. The story was written in rhyme, accompanied by colorful pictures. In the last pages (of the e-book version), children will find puzzles and activities specially designed for them. "I'll grab you some food," said the elephant with a smile. "Then, can we play hide and seek for a while?" "No!" said the bear, while the fox his teeth bared. "And if you dare to refuse, you won't be spared. We want all your fruits now-hand them over to us! Or we'll say you're so selfish, and make such a fuss!" Dear Readers, Come meet two young predators-a fox and a bear. To tease those who were stronger, they did not dare. Instead they chose to mock and bully every single day, a gentle little elephant who wished only to play. But what happened one hot summer day as they napped, when a fire broke out and they found themselves trapped?

Around the world, the elephant - at once a symbol of spiritual power and physical endurance - has been worshipped as a god and hunted for sport. In this captivating portrait of the elephant, Watson draws from scientific research, anthropological studies, and personal experience to document the animal's wide-ranging capabilities to remember and to mourn; and he reminds us of its rich mythic origins, its evolution, and its devastation in recent history.
