The results of the analyses were formed into general stability criteria using the fundamental characteristics of the space station system. The criteria show the relationship between applied forces, configuration flexibility and configuration damping and are presented in a manner suitable for preliminary analysis of future design concepts. For design values of current space station concepts using spin-up jets and wobble rate damper systems and for the assumptions used in the analyses, the stability criteria indicate that no instability of the flexible modes should be encountered.
