Book The Case for Election The Original Doctrine of Predestination Presented by the Apostles

Download or read book The Case for Election The Original Doctrine of Predestination Presented by the Apostles written by Marc A. Carr and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2012-04 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about how the Christian actually became a Christian. The 'process' is Marc's focus. How does God take the Chosen from the womb to salvation then into His eternal bosom? The classic position of Election and Predestination is made plain; forcing the reader to address the alternative, Man's free-will choice to be 'saved' or not. Can these two positions be reconciled? No, not really. The Lord assured Moses: I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion, Exodus 33:19. Moses was to experience a limited 'theophany, ' what the Greek Orthodox call a 'theosis, ' the physical presence of God, Himself, equivalent to - 'My goodness.' It is God's very 'Goodness' the New Testament saint knows to be the indwelt Holy Spirit, the very Spirit of Christ Jesus, Himself, God Himself. Paul cites the Exodus passage in Romans to demonstrate to the body of Christ that God by His sovereignty elected each believer to be His own, that we did not elect ourselves to be God's. And one Saint asked, "Why write about such things that have been covered for hundreds of years?" True. But more recently much about God's sovereignty has been covered over. Christian modernity has adapted as the author once did to a new Evangelicalism. Whereby, some first truths have been buried so deep that when they are unearthed they appear to be a foreign theology to the present generation of Evangelical believers. Marc affords the saint the information necessary to actually understand how he or she actually got saved! Marc presently lives in Orlando Florida where he pastors Blessed Fellowship Orlando, an outreach ministry of Orlando Prayer and Worship Center, Senior Pastor Roy Futch.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Doctrine of Particular Election before Time. Asserted and Proved by God's Word, against the Quakers, Papists and Arminians. In Answer to a Challenge given the Author to make good {by the Scriptures of Truth} the above-said Doctrine. Wherein is Evidently Discovered. I. That the above-said doctrine, rightly understood and believed, {with application to one's self, } is the great enemy of sin, both in the heart and life of a true Believer; and that which keeps the Believer from despair, in the deepest desertion and temptation. II. That the doctrine of free-will and general redemption, &c., is an inlet to, and an encourager of sin; and which leads in the end to horrid despair, under powerful awakenings in the natural consciences of an unregenerate man. "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Matt. 24:24.

Book The Biblical Doctrine of Election and Predestination

Download or read book The Biblical Doctrine of Election and Predestination written by Edward G. Rice and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2009-07-01 with total page 143 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Biblical Doctrine of Election and Predestination: The Author is a USAF retired systems engineer turned Baptist Preacher who brings a fresh Biblical look at our systematic theology. His Master of Science degree in Engineering enlivens an analytical view of the doctrine of election and predestination. You will be amazed at how much Christian doctrine departs from the Bible and leans on Augustinian Theology and Calvin's Reformed Theology. We need to get back to sound Bible teachings with this doctrine. This treatise will move one in that direction.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whether man has free will continues to be a hot topic among Bible teachers and theologians. After defining the issues involved, from both a worldview and a biblical standpoint, this work devotes three chapters to exploring the single-volume treatments against free will by the great theologians Luther, Calvin, and Edwards. The author then responds to the major issues involved in their objections to free will: foreknowledge and necessity, human depravity and the grace of God, the sovereignty and all-encompassing providence of God, and Edwards's rationalistic argument. In each instance, the doctrine of free will, rightly understood, is in full and biblical accord with these concerns. A concluding chapter summarizes and expresses the bottom-line differences in the doctrine of salvation between the Arminian and the Calvinistic wings of reformed theology.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The grand truth of election takes us back to the beginning of all things. It predated the entrance of sin into the world, the fall of man, the incarnation of Christ, and the proclamation of the gospel. A correct understanding of it, especially in its relation to the everlasting covenant, is absolutely essential if we are to be kept from fundamental error. If the foundation be faulty, then the building erected upon it cannot be sound; and if we err in our conceptions of this basic truth, then just in proportion as we do so will our grasp of all other truth be inaccurate. This classic text on the subject of election is an essential for any Christian's library but especially that of the pastor or clergyman.

James White, author of The Potter's Freedom, takes the Calvinist position. Dave Hunt, author of What Love Is This, opposes him. The exchange is lively and at times intense as these two articulate men wrestle over what the Scriptures tell us about God's sovereignty and man's free will. Book The Lies of Free Will Do You Control Your Own Destiny

It shows the inception of the false idea from before creation by Satan and down through history including those who are still purporting the lies of free will today. The book also shows the contrast of the lies of free will to the truth; that being the Sovereignty of God in all things including His creation and their destiny.
