Yes, Professor Hicily tenaciously claws his way to fame and renown by deconstructing great works of the western traditional canon as well as popular pulp fiction, westerns and romance novels. Anything is fair game for the wielding of his profound, penetrating insight and ruthless theoretical weapons. However, just as he reaches the pinnacle of achievement and occupies the well-endowed chair of a major university, he suffers a cruel and crushing blow of fate, a simple fall that spells his doom. He develops voluntas-verbalis contentio, a condition in which there is a disconnect between his intention to speak and the actual production of speech. As a result, he transposes phonemes in his lectures and often speaks nonsense, and his popular and famed lectures begin to turn into gibberish. Poor Hicily then goes through a long process of remedies and therapies in an attempt to regain his AWOL eloquence. All that is in vain however, and the good professor must keep his appointment with the great Dean of Faculties in Heaven. Truly, an academic tragedy, evoking pity and fear in intense Aristotelean pathos.
