A time when the author was unemployed, which allowed him to commune and fellowship with his Father more than usual. It was then that he began reading the book of Genesis and the Lord began to open his eyes to His hidden truths now revealed to you in this book. While many years had pasted, he was drawn back to Genesis in early 2003 and more revelations came from the same chapter he thought it not possible to contain additional hidden mysteries of God. He shares this for reason that we should not limit what God is capable of revealing through His word by his Spirit. As such, even that which has been revealed to him and are written in this book, The Days of Mankind does not put a cap on what God can reveal to you. He had purposed the publish this book in 2012, the year of the Covenant, believing it to be the set time for its release to the world. As it is his conviction that 2012 would be the year God covenanted plan for His chosen would begin even more to manifest itself in the body of Christ: and this book will aid in opening the eyes of His creation to embrace the plan of God for their lives.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One hundred years after Austrian satirist Karl Kraus began writing his dramatic masterpiece, The Last Days of Mankind remains as powerfully relevant as the day it was first published. Kraus’s play enacts the tragic trajectory of the First World War, when mankind raced toward self-destruction by methods of modern warfare while extolling the glory and ignoring the horror of an allegedly “defensive” war. This volume is the first to present a complete English translation of Kraus’s towering work, filling a major gap in the availability of Viennese literature from the era of the War to End All Wars. Bertolt Brecht hailed The Last Days as the masterpiece of Viennese modernism. In the apocalyptic drama Kraus constructs a textual collage, blending actual quotations from the Austrian army’s call to arms, people’s responses, political speeches, newspaper editorials, and a range of other sources. Seasoning the drama with comic invention and satirical verse, Kraus reveals how bungled diplomacy, greedy profiteers, Big Business complicity, gullible newsreaders, and, above all, the sloganizing of the press brought down the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In the dramatization of sensationalized news reports, inurement to atrocities, and openness to war as remedy, today’s readers will hear the echo of the fateful voices Kraus recorded as his homeland descended into self-destruction.

The second: doing good works, And the third: exhort one another to truth. And the fourth: exhort one another to endurance.

Book Revisiting the Days of Genesis

Download or read book Revisiting the Days of Genesis written by Bryan C. Hodge and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2011-01-01 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A commitment to historical-grammatical hermeneutics often has been confused with a commitment to literal language. Time, in our modern conception, has been construed as a measurement of temporal units, and the numbers assigned to them, as merely counting those units. However, a study is needed to explore whether this is the Genesis author's use of time, and whether numerical values utilized suggest something other than tracking simple measurements. This book attempts to offer an answer to this question by analyzing the ancient Near Eastern and literary context of the Book of Genesis in terms of its use of temporal language in determining its value within the narrative. It is the contention of this book that both of these concepts have been misunderstood to such an extent that these misperceptions often obstruct interpreters from understanding the sociological and theological intent of the author to convey a theology of God, man, creation, and chaos that addresses concerns of both the ancient and the modern reader.

Book Day in Mamre Night in Sodom

Download or read book Day in Mamre Night in Sodom written by Letellier and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2021-11-15 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent developments in Pentateuchal studies — from both diachronic (historical) and synchronic (literary-textual) perspectives — have made it possible to read Genesis 18 and 19, the evocative story of Abraham and Lot, in a new light. This work uses both types of approach to examine the text, (1) considered in its own terms — its structural and linguistic features, in a detailed close reading of each verse — and (2) considered in terms of its symbolism and imagery in relation to those found in comparable cultures of the ancient Middle East. The end product is an integrated reading of the Abraham and Lot story as a sustained literary unit, and the reading process demonstrates the value of a range of exegetical methods — structuralist, linguistic, literary, historical and anthropological — in the continuing exploration of this well-known biblical narrative.

Book An Atheist s Letters to Heaven

Download or read book An Atheist s Letters to Heaven written by Naimbai Njerakey and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2020-07-13 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Atheist's Letters to Heaven is for seekers of truth and anyone interested in being acquainted with the Christian perspective on modern controversies hotly debated in the media, press, academia, and beyond. Moreover, the novel is written to assist believers in leading unbelievers to Christ by putting themselves in their shoes and addressing potential objections in an adequate and practical manner. It is a journey of an atheist (Marawi) who is given the opportunity to reconnect with his now-deceased friend (Melchizedek) in Paradise. Prior to his passing, Melchizedek accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and pleaded with his friend to do the same to no avail. Over the course of their correspondence, Marawi asks questions and offers counterarguments based on logic, academia, and atheism. Melchizedek, on the other hand, offers a heavenly perspective and occasionally refers to the Scriptures, history, and the realities of life to make his case for the veracity of the Christian faith. It is a novel that takes the objections of atheists into consideration and addresses the most common objections raised by non-Christians. The questions of origin, meaning, morality, and destiny are discussed from divergent paradigms over the course of three years.

Book The Day Is Now Far Spent

Download or read book The Day Is Now Far Spent written by Robert Sarah and published by Ignatius Press. This book was released on 2019-09-01 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Robert Cardinal Sarah calls The Day Is Now Far Spent his most important book. He analyzes the spiritual, moral, and political collapse of the Western world and concludes that "the decadence of our time has all the faces of mortal peril." A cultural identity crisis, he writes, is at the root of the problems facing Western societies. "The West no longer knows who it is, because it no longer knows and does not want to know who made it, who established it, as it was and as it is. Many countries today ignore their own history. This self-suffocation naturally leads to a decadence that opens the path to new, barbaric civilizations." While making clear the gravity of the present situation, the cardinal demonstrates that it is possible to avoid the hell of a world without God, a world without hope. He calls for a renewal of devotion to Christ through prayer and the practice of virtue.

This book was released on 1997 with total page 977 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Al-Qur'an, the Guidance for mankind, is a unique translation of the Holy Qur'an in contemporary American English. It includes the Biography of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, his mission as a Prophet, his ranking as in the human history. Text is paragraphed by theme and theme is written in the margins on each page for easy reference. Its features include - (1) Field Testing the Communication of Divine Message: The unique feature of this translation is its field testing for over 3 1/2 years to improve the communication and understanding of the Divine Message. Translation passages were given to the New Muslim and Non-Muslim high school and college students for reading under the supervision of various Ulema (scholars). After reading, the person was asked to explain as to what he/she understood from the passage. If his/her understanding was the same as is in the Arabic Text of the Holy Qur'an then we concluded that we have been successful in conveying the Divine Message properly. If his/her understanding was different than what the Qur'anic verses were stating, we kept on rewording the translation until those verses were understood properly. It was tremendous patience on part of the participants. May Allah reward them all. (2) Simplicity: In this translation Simple Language and Direct Approach is used for appealing to the common sense of scholars and common people. (3) Understandability: There are no foot notes to refer and no commentary or lengthy explanations to read. All necessary explanations have been incorporated right there in the text with italic type setting to differentiate from the translation of the meanings of Qur'anic Arabic Text. (4) Outline of Pertinent Information: Before the start of each Srah, information relating to its Period of Revelation, Major Issues, Divine Laws and Guidance has been presented as an outline. Then a summary of the preceding events has been tabulated for the reader to understand the histo! rical background to grasp the full meaning of the Divine Message. (5) Reviews, Input and Approvals: This project was started in 1991 and initial draft completed in 1994. Then the Translation was sent to different Ulema (Scholars) in Town and throughout United States for their review and input. After their reviews and input it was sent to Jme Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Egypt, Ummal Qur in Saudi Arabia and International Islamic University in Pakistan for their review, input and approval. This translation was published after their reviews and approvals.
