The information contained in Part I of the Encyclopedia of Weight Training presents the principles and practices that will enable anyone at any level of training to design and apply an effective weight-training program. The particulars of how to perform specific exercises have purposely not been addressed in this volume because there are many books that have amply covered the specific exercise techniques. The combined experience of the authors extends over one hundred years and they continue to remain as active researchers, coaches and participants in all dimensions of weight training and application of super-nutrition for general health, training and competition.Part II of the Encyclopedia discusses the application of weight training programs for general fitness.
