Download or read book The Whore of Babylon written by Benjamin Breece and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2023-11-09 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This books asks you to set aside your preconceptions and confirmation bias and simply examine what the Scriptures say, especially in prophecy. If it is too difficult for you to reconsider mainstream understandings of what the Scripture says about things such as, the doctrine of the Trinity, the corruption of the Church, whether or not Muhammad was a prophet, etc., then this book is not for you. If you are willing to look and study, then this book can serve as a tool in understanding Bible prophecy. It begins with the Babylonian exile, then continues through the rise of the Persians, Greeks, and Romans, the coming of the Messiah, the rise and corruption of the Church, the rise of Islam, the reemergence of the corrupt Church, the return of Jesus, and the establishment of God's kingdom. The prophecies serve as a warning to those who follow the traditions of the Church instead of Scripture. However, the primary mission of the prophets wasn't to make predictions, but to provide guidance. I believe the prophecies indicate that the church corrupted the teachings of Jesus, and what is preached today bears little resemblance what he preached. The 17th and 18th chapters of Revelation describe it as the Great Whore Babylon, from which this book gets its title. An open-minded study of Revelation also seems to indicate that God gave Muhammad a message to get the Church to repent of its blasphemies and worship only one person as God. It seems to indicate that Protestantism, aided by America, will form an image to the beast (Roman Church) and will join the fight against the followers of God. This book goes into great detail in the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation and the rest of Scripture in order to let the Scripture do the interpreting. One should always let the Bible provide the meanings of symbols and interpret accordingly. I make every effort to only draw interpretations from Scripture, instead of reading interpretations into the text. In fact, I prefer to simply quote the Scripture and let it speak for itself. However, I don't make any kind of claim that the contents of this book were revealed to me directly from God. You should place your faith in the Scriptures and only accept the points that you can clearly see the Scriptures saying. 2nd expanded edition - black and white

Book End Time Babylon

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Isaiah 47:5-8 "Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms. I was angry with My people; I have profaned My inheritance, And given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly you laid your yoke very heavily. And you said, 'I shall be a lady forever, ' So that you did not take these things to heart, Nor remember the latter end of them. "Therefore hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, Who dwell securely, Who say in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, Nor shall I know the loss of children'; Not every location has the same destiny. God doesn't have the same plan for every country of the earth. Some nations, like Israel, Egypt, and even the revived Assyria, have prophetic destiny: Isaiah 19:23-24 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria-a blessing in the midst of the land, As end-time events clearly unfold, many wonder where the USA is in the Bible. At the same time, many contend for a national revival that will quell the rising tide of trouble and rebellion in the western world, missing that the last superpower, the end-time Babylon, has a very clear fate. The fate of the end time Babylon is one of division, but also one of GREAT promise. The division is what Jesus wants! Out of division, or unity-by-sanctification, will come one pure and spotless Bride...an end time Church that will share Jesus' very throne! But, you must know where you live, and respond in agreement with Jesus, to get the inheritance He paid for you to have: Revelation 18:3-4 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury." (4) And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the study of Christian eschatological thought, virtually no attention has been given to past interpretations of the biblical phrase the new heavens and earth. John Duff uncovers the interpretations of this phrase that were extant in seventeenth-century England. These interpretations fall into two basic camps—those that understood the phrase metaphorically and those that understood the phrase literally. Some English divines believed the new heavens and earth referred to the new age of the gospel that commenced in the first century CE. At that time, God flung open the doors of salvation to Gentiles while at the same time bringing judgment to the Jewish nation for its failure to recognize and embrace Jesus as Messiah. This epic transition was fittingly described as a new heavens and earth.A second group of English interpreters believed the phrase stood for a yet future time when the political and religious circumstances of the world would change for the betterment of the church for one thousand years. The new heavens and earth stood for a future millennium in which Christ would establish his reign over the world prior to the day of resurrection and final judgment. Theologians who accepted a literal understanding believed the new heavens and earth described the renovation of the physical creation at the final judgment. Among this group, differences of opinion existed with respect to how much of the world would need cleansing, what creatures would be restored and of what use would a renovated world serve. The idea that the earth, and not heaven, would be the final abode of the saints emerged among a few obscure writers.

Book Scripture and Scholarship in Early Modern England

Download or read book Scripture and Scholarship in Early Modern England written by Ariel Hessayon and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2006 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume of essays is the first to embrace both orthodox and heterodox treatments of scripture in early modern England, and in the process to question, challenge and redefine what historians mean when they use these terms. The collection dispels the myth that a critical engagement with sacred texts was the preserve of radical figures: anti-scripturists, Quakers, Deists and freethinkers. While the work of these people was significant, it formed only part of a far broader debate incorporating figures from across the theological spectrum engaging in a shared discourse.
