Book Protestant Nonconformist Texts Volume 4

Download or read book Protestant Nonconformist Texts Volume 4 written by David M. Thompson and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2015-02-05 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Contemporary texts are used in this volume to illustrate key themes in the history of Nonconformity in England and Wales. Although the twentieth century was in many ways a century of decline, this book shows that there was still much life in the Nonconformist tradition. It also looks at contemporary issues such as racism and the place of women. Through contemporary writings it provides an insight into the life and thought of the English Free Churches in a century in which they expected to come into their own, only to discover that they faced new challenges and the problems of decline.

Book Horae Apocalypticae Vol 4

Download or read book Horae Apocalypticae Vol 4 written by E. B. Elliot and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2018-07-15 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Horae Apocalypticae is a commentary on the apocalypse, critical and historical; including also an examination of the chief prophecies of Daniel. It is doubtless the most elaborate work ever produced on the Apocalypse. Editors Note, 2018 Quin. Ed. E. B Elliot finished his great work about the year 1860. The nature of the Historicist method of interpretation is such that the line of fulfilled prophecy is continually moving with the passage of time. The interpretation of which necessarily requires a certain amount of speculation which must be verified before accepted as true. As well intentioned as many are the passage of time will overthrow the best of expositors on some points of which time would reveal to be mere speculation. Though the bulk of Mr. Elliot's work still stands the test of time, time has unveiled a more likely or true interpretation on some points. The editors herein have made some updates commensurate.

Book The Mormon Delusion Volume 4 the Mormon Missionary Lessons A Conspiracy to Deceive

Download or read book The Mormon Delusion Volume 4 the Mormon Missionary Lessons A Conspiracy to Deceive written by Jim Whitefield and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2012-10-01 with total page 576 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The fourth in 'The Mormon Delusion' series tracks the Mormon 'Missionary Lesson Manual' as taught to investigators, and lesson by lesson, exposes and explains the truth behind the false teachings. At every stage, unsuspecting investigators are taught a fictional account of Mormon history and teachings by faithful missionaries who themselves have no idea they are teaching provable fiction. This book exposes the underlying truth behind Joseph Smith's original fraudulent claims and modern-day fictional Mormon teachings. Evidence from within Mormon Church history and Mormon so-called scripture proves conclusively that the Mormon Church continues in a conspiracy to deceive its own members, missionaries and their investigators alike. At the end of a journey through this book there will be nothing left for an investigator to take to the Lord in prayer in order to obtain an answer as to whether what the Mormon Church teaches is true. Common sense and reason alone will be enough to determine the truth of the matter.

Book The Works of John Knox Volume 4

Download or read book The Works of John Knox Volume 4 written by John Knox and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2004-01-30 with total page 585 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: John Knox (1514-1572) was more a reformer of the Scottish Kirk than he was a systematic theologian, as his collected works will attest. Knox had a profound influence upon theological and ecclesiological developments in Scotland both purely by the force of his personality and by the role he played in shaping the Scots Confession and the Book of Common Order. Knox was an ordained priest and served as a tutor prior to his conversion to Protestantism. Volumes One and Two: Knox's famous 'History of the Reformation in Scotland'. Apologetics as much as history, 'History of the Reformation in Scotland' was immediately seized and suppressed when it initially appeared, yet it has remained available in various editions for over 400 years. Volume Three: 'Earliest Writings', 1548-1554 Volume Four: 'Writings from Frankfurt and Geneva'. These writings in exile include Knox's famous 'First Blast of the Trumpet against the Monstrous Regiment of Women', his violent diatribe against Mary of Guise. Volume Five: 'On Predestination' and other writings. 'On Predestination, in Answer to the Cavillations by an Anabaptist' is Knox's longest theological work and presents a position of rigid predestinationism. Volume Six: Letters, Prayer, and other shorter writings with a sketch of his life.
