Download or read book The Chess Player s Chronicle 1859 Classic Reprint written by and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-10-03 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Chess Player's Chronicle, 1859 A selection of one hundred and eighty games by English and Foreign Chess notabilities is here offered to the public. The Problems are all original, not one of them has been taken from another publi cation. The same may be said of the Games, with the exception of those played by Mr. Morphy. In respect to original matter, games, problems, or articles, no other Chess publication can enter the lists with us. If, however withal, we have fallen short of what we intended to do, the fault does not lay entirely with us. The obstacles we had to overcome were many, and one of the chief difficulties is, perhaps, the split which unfortunately exists among the English Chess matadores. We must finally apologize to our readers for the typographical errors which, especially in the earlier numbers, are rather numerous; but which in most cases can be easily corrected by the reader; utmost vigilance shall be exercised to prevent a recurrence in future numbers. Download or read book The Human Comedy of Chess written by Hans Ree and published by SCB Distributors. This book was released on 2011-12-28 with total page 471 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Brilliant Chess, Brilliant Essays, Brilliant Writer Dutch Grandmaster Hans Ree is considered by many to be the best chess writer in the world today. As noted by the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad, reviewing the original Dutch edition, "This is more than a book about chess politics or leaders in the chess world. It is above all a declaration of love for the game, with an elegant collection of odes to the greater and lesser personalities that evolve around the 64 squares. Ree personally knows many of the people he writes about. That leads to beautiful and striking portraits.” In almost sixty separate essays, in seven categories (World Champions, Politics, In Memoriam, History, The Endgame, Matches & Tournaments and Miscellanea), Ree touches on chess matters near and dear to the hearts of chessplayers worldwide. This book, published in 1999, still retains its relevance, insight and its edge, more than a decade after being released.

Download or read book Chronicles of a Cabin Crew written by SORAIA NAVES NAKIB and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2012-06-27 with total page 293 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chronicles of a Cabin Crew took almost two years to be concluded. It is the sequel of Underneath a Flight Attendant, which is Soraias biography and first novel. The author emphasizes the importance of some chapters on the introduction (foreword) of the book. Nostradamuss chapter is one of those also mentioned in the cover of this book. Soraia comes from a psychic/medium family and is openly sharing her premonitions for the near future (201314) with the world. She also finds herself very funny and loves to bring laughter into others peoples lives. Shes created this extroverted book that will entertain you and make you laugh rather than being just about her serious paranormal experiences. I keep telling people that I have no hidden agenda rather trying to spread the truth. My premonitions have never betrayed me. If Im looking forward to becoming famous, it is only with the purpose to enable my message to be heard and accepted without skepticism. I believe that we are at the edge of an era lacking love, but mostly understanding of God.
