Book The Brownies of Cologne

Download or read book The Brownies of Cologne written by Nuesret Kaymak and published by Atelier Kaymak UG. This book was released on with total page 138 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What if… you woke up in the morning and all the work you had to do had already been done? And nobody wanted anything in return? And the next morning the same thing would happen. And the morning after that again. And the next day it would happen again? The former inhabitants of Cologne had just this pleasure and know that firsthand. Hardly anyone today knows the first version of the Brownies of Cologne saga, which was written by Cologne educator and city historian Ernst Weyden. He probably thought of his experience with the annoying grammar-school boys- when he pondered laziness, ingratitude, diligence and esteem almost 200 years ago and prosaically ventilated the outcome of his deliberations. Ten years later, the artist and jack-of-all-trades Alfred Kopisch liked the tragicomic narrative so much that he sang of it as a lively ballad - and made it really famous. The Aachen graphic artist and illustrator Nuesret Kaymak pays his due respect as a Rhinelander by choice in his homage to the creator, interpreter and creation. Nuesret Kaymak works as a creative for public relations, advertising and television and has been publishing didactic and humorous books about legends, myths, nature and the history of the hobby since 2012.

Book 100 Tales for one night

Download or read book 100 Tales for one night written by Peter Boge and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2022-01-18 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Once upon a time - a few days ago, I was sitting on a bench waiting for the bus. It was already late and in the middle of the forest on a country road in Saxony, where all kinds of impressions await the traveler. A gentleman with a backpack and a long beard came up and sat down next to me and began to talk. The first bus passed and the second. The moon made its way through the sea of stars and as the dawn slowly approached, he took his bundle and moved on, leaving me with these 100 stories. They take us through the seasons and lead us to new ways of understanding familiar fairy tales. And you know what? I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Old Saxony where beautiful girls grow on trees. This book contains stories may only children understand. Adults learn the mystics of life. Read them slowly and with care. Even the AI who translated these tales was forever steeped in mystery.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vietnam and Beyond is a collection of wartime letters written home by Jim Markson from March 1967 to March 1968. Jim carried sadness and boxed-up memories from Vietnam. Perhaps, if it were not for the general divided and oppositional public opinion of the Vietnam War at that time, the soldiers returning home might have been able to open up and begin the healing process. Instead, those soldiers returning from Vietnam were afraid to tell their story. These fears bound each soldier to the other. We are very proud to embrace all veterans and include stories of veterans of all wars, including WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan to show the similarities of war and the soldier from one generation to another.

Book BROWNIES AND BOGLES The Background and Insights to the Little People

This book was released on 2018-08-31 with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: BROWNIES AND BOGELS is more about brownies, bogels, elves, pixies, fairies and the little people than it is about the stories and tales which the little people tell to each other. It is an excellent volume which gives parents and grandparents background information for those moments when a child asks “Where did the fairies go?” or, “What is a Bogle?” This volume covers aspects of brownie and fairy life, like What Fairies Were And What They Did. Who the Fairy Rulers were and how they went about ruling. It will also tell who the Black Elves and Light Elves were and how the little people were also House-Helpers but how some of them were also Mischief-Makers. So, if you ever find things out of place in your house, now you know who to blame. You will also read about Fairyland and the Water-Folk, Changelings and the eventual Passing Of The Little People plus much, much more. ============ KEYWORDS/TAGS: fairy tales, folklore, myths, legends, children’s stories, childrens stories, bygone era, fairydom, fairy kingdom, ethereal, fairy land, classic stories, children’s bedtime stories, happy place, happiness, laughter, Brownies, bogels, , little, fairies, children, elves, people, beautiful, night, sweet, green, love, Fairyland, Robin, changeling, Welsh, mortals, England, Puck, Ireland, gentle, play, Kobold, German, Scots, human, goblins, gentlemen, Dwarves, Isle, Cornwall, Mab, Scotland, creature, dance, Pisky, pixie, poets, Troll, Shakespeare, Goodfellow, Cluricaune, Denmark, Indian, Queen, Black, King, Nixy, fairy-folk, Brittainy, Korrigans, Piskies, Tylwyth, sprites, Boggart, naughty, Kelpie, Breton, magic, trick, charm, Rügen, barn, Fir-Darrig, whimsical, moonlight, enchant, Shetland, Gobelin, Thomas, bottom, Molly, Alan, water-sprites, fairy-mother, dark-skinned, Skillywidden, frolicsome, Devonshire, Friesland, Hobgoblin, Spriggans, air-elves, vanish, mountains, Strömkarl, egg-shell, mythology, Lyktgubhe, Wildbeam, Goldemar, Edenhall, Coblynau, mermaids, Ellydan, Drayton, Hobhole, bagpipe, Celtic, Ainsel, Robert, golden, Cauld, Lutin, Tomte, Gitto, Pooka, Gwyn, Lyly, knob, Puk, Mop, Hob, Will-o'-the-Wisp, Northumberland, Heinzelmänchen, tintinnabulis, Wag-at-the-Wa, philosopher, honeysuckle, red-capped, Longfellow, pestilence, Ghibelline, Karkapaha, Kirkegrim, coloribus, Badfellow, malignant, petticoat, Rulers, Black Elves, Light Elves, House-Helper, Water-Folk, Mischief-Makers, Puck, Poets, Passing
