Book Blaschke Products and Their Applications

Download or read book Blaschke Products and Their Applications written by Javad Mashreghi and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-10-05 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Blaschke Products and Their Applications presents a collection of survey articles that examine Blaschke products and several of its applications to fields such as approximation theory, differential equations, dynamical systems, harmonic analysis, to name a few. Additionally, this volume illustrates the historical roots of Blaschke products and highlights key research on this topic. For nearly a century, Blaschke products have been researched. Their boundary behaviour, the asymptomatic growth of various integral means and their derivatives, their applications within several branches of mathematics, and their membership in different function spaces and their dynamics, are a few examples of where Blaschke products have shown to be important. The contributions written by experts from various fields of mathematical research will engage graduate students and researches alike, bringing the reader to the forefront of research in the topic. The readers will also discover the various open problems, enabling them to better pursue their own research.

Book An Introduction to Infinite Products

Download or read book An Introduction to Infinite Products written by Charles H. C. Little and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-01-10 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text provides a detailed presentation of the main results for infinite products, as well as several applications. The target readership is a student familiar with the basics of real analysis of a single variable and a first course in complex analysis up to and including the calculus of residues. The book provides a detailed treatment of the main theoretical results and applications with a goal of providing the reader with a short introduction and motivation for present and future study. While the coverage does not include an exhaustive compilation of results, the reader will be armed with an understanding of infinite products within the course of more advanced studies, and, inspired by the sheer beauty of the mathematics. The book will serve as a reference for students of mathematics, physics and engineering, at the level of senior undergraduate or beginning graduate level, who want to know more about infinite products. It will also be of interest to instructors who teach courses that involve infinite products as well as mathematicians who wish to dive deeper into the subject. One could certainly design a special-topics class based on this book for undergraduates. The exercises give the reader a good opportunity to test their understanding of each section.

Book Current Topics in Pure and Computational Complex Analysis

Download or read book Current Topics in Pure and Computational Complex Analysis written by Santosh Joshi and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-12-02 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book contains 13 articles, some of which are survey articles and others research papers. Written by eminent mathematicians, these articles were presented at the International Workshop on Complex Analysis and Its Applications held at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. All the contributing authors are actively engaged in research fields related to the topic of the book. The workshop offered a comprehensive exposition of the recent developments in geometric functions theory, planar harmonic mappings, entire and meromorphic functions and their applications, both theoretical and computational. The recent developments in complex analysis and its applications play a crucial role in research in many disciplines.

Book Derivatives of Inner Functions

Download or read book Derivatives of Inner Functions written by Javad Mashreghi and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-11-14 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inner functions form an important subclass of bounded analytic functions. Since they have unimodular boundary values, they appear in many extremal problems of complex analysis. They have been extensively studied since early last century, and the literature on this topic is vast. Therefore, this book is devoted to a concise study of derivatives of these objects, and confined to treating the integral means of derivatives and presenting a comprehensive list of results on Hardy and Bergman means. The goal is to provide rapid access to the frontiers of research in this field. This monograph will allow researchers to get acquainted with essentials on inner functions, and it is self-contained, which makes it accessible to graduate students.

Book Banach Spaces of Analytic Functions

Download or read book Banach Spaces of Analytic Functions written by Thomas H. MacGregor and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2008 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is focused on Banach spaces of functions analytic in the open unit disc, such as the classical Hardy and Bergman spaces, and weighted versions of these spaces. Other spaces under consideration here include the Bloch space, the families of Cauchy transforms and fractional Cauchy transforms, BMO, VMO, and the Fock space. Some of the work deals with questions about functions in several complex variables.

Book Harmonic Mappings in the Plane

Download or read book Harmonic Mappings in the Plane written by Peter Duren and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2004-03-29 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Harmonic mappings in the plane are univalent complex-valued harmonic functions of a complex variable. Conformal mappings are a special case where the real and imaginary parts are conjugate harmonic functions, satisfying the Cauchy-Riemann equations. Harmonic mappings were studied classically by differential geometers because they provide isothermal (or conformal) parameters for minimal surfaces. More recently they have been actively investigated by complex analysts as generalizations of univalent analytic functions, or conformal mappings. Many classical results of geometric function theory extend to harmonic mappings, but basic questions remain unresolved. This book is the first comprehensive account of the theory of planar harmonic mappings, treating both the generalizations of univalent analytic functions and the connections with minimal surfaces. Essentially self-contained, the book contains background material in complex analysis and a full development of the classical theory of minimal surfaces, including the Weierstrass-Enneper representation. It is designed to introduce non-specialists to a beautiful area of complex analysis and geometry.
