Book Mu Ha Mmad Mut Ha Maat

Download or read book Mu Ha Mmad Mut Ha Maat written by Michael Meade and published by . This book was released on 2013-12 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this brief hard-hitting book you will find out information that has been covered up and deliberately kept from the people for thousands of years. For example, Muhammad and Islam didn't start in the Middle East it started in East Africa, in the Ancient Egyptian city called Thebes, known locally as Waset. Commune-ism and Nazi Socialism with the Christian Swastika Cross didn't start in Russia, Germany or Europe it started in Thebes/Waset in Ancient Egypt home of the Was Scepter. Most people think the origin of Jesus was in Jerusalem and Bethlehem but it actually started in Thebes/Waset along with Muhammad. You will be amazed to find out that all of this evil being perpetrated on the world started in East Africa, Ancient Egypt thousands of years ago by all of those people claiming to be victims and oppressed when it was their ancestors who were the victimizers and oppressors. It doesn't stop there because the brutal Roman Empire and the Holy Roman Empire didn't start in Europe but goes directly back to East Africa as well. By the time you are done reading this book you will know the truth about the past.

This book was released on 2015-12-03 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Maat is the goddess of harmony, justice, and truth represented as a young woman, sitting or standing, holding a was scepter, the symbol of power, in one hand and an ankh, the symbol of eternal life, in the other. Sometimes she is depicted with wings on each arm or as a woman with an ostrich feather on her head. The meaning of this emblem is uncertain, although the god Shu, who in some myths is Maat's brother, also wears it. Depictions of Maat as a goddess are recorded from as early as the middle of the Old Kingdom (c. 2680 to 2190 BCE). The sun-god Ra came from the primeval mound of creation only after he set his daughter Maat in place of Apophis (chaos). Pharaoh inherited the duty to ensure Maat remained in place and they with Ra are said to "live on Maat." Some kings incorporated Maat into their names, being referred to as Lords of Maat, or Meri-Maat (Beloved of Maat). Maat had an invaluable role in the ceremony of the Weighing of the Heart. In the Duat, the Egyptian underworld, the hearts of the dead were said to be weighed against her single "Feather of Ma'at", symbolically representing the concept of Maat, in the Hall of Two Truths. This is why hearts were left in Egyptian mummies while their other organs were removed, as the heart (called "ib") was seen as part of the Egyptian soul. If the heart was found to be lighter or equal in weight to the feather of Maat, the deceased had led a virtuous life and would go on to Aaru. Osiris came to be seen as the guardian of the gates of Aaru after he became part of the Egyptian pantheon and displaced Anubis in the Ogdoad tradition. A heart which was unworthy was devoured by the goddess Ammit and its owner condemned to remain in the Duat. The weighing of the heart, pictured on papyrus in the Book of the Dead typically, or in tomb scenes, shows Anubis overseeing the weighing and the lioness Ammit seated awaiting the results so she could consume those who failed. While the heart was weighed the deceased recited the 42 Negative Confessions as the Assessors of Maat looked unto the Works of the dead. "Truth came home one day, naked and wounded, having been beaten and cursed by the people who did not wish to hear, while his brother Falsehood went dressed in the brightest garments and feasted with every household. "What shall I do?" cried Truth to the gods. "No man wishes to hear me and all beat me and throw things at me; look, I am covered with dung." "You are naked" said the goddess Maat, sympathetically. "No naked one can command respect. Therefore take these robes and you will walk without fear and all men will sit at your feet to hear your stories." And She dressed Truth in Fable's garments, and he was welcome at every house."

Book Maat Revealed Philosophy of Justice in Ancient Egypt

Download or read book Maat Revealed Philosophy of Justice in Ancient Egypt written by Anna Mancini and published by BUENOS BOOKS AMERICA LLC. This book was released on 2004 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Categories: Egyptology, philosophy of law, history of religions Unlike ancient Rome, Egypt did not transmit any legal system to us, but rather an idea of justice our modern minds can hardly understand. In the ancient Egyptian world, almost all the texts and inscriptions speak of justice. All the texts of wisdom teach that one has to conform to Maat, an obscure and omnipresent concept that Egyptologists have translated into the expression "Goddess of Truth and Justice." Egyptian justice is so different from ours that Egyptologists and historians of religions believe they have not yet fully understood its meaning. They regret this fact because understanding Maat would be a gateway to a deeper understanding of the ancient Egyptian world. As for lawyers, they have limited themselves to the Greco-Roman sources on the philosophy of Justice and the discoveries of Egyptologists in this philosophical field remain thoroughly ignored. Thanks to her experience in ancient history of law and her ability to understand ancient symbols, the author provides Egyptology with the missing pieces that were needed to form a coherent image of Maat. Once revealed, Maat sheds a new and unexpected light on the whole of Egyptian civilization. As a bridge between traditionally separate fields of academic research, this book is a useful and groundbreaking contribution to Egyptology, the history of religions and the modern philosophy of law.

Book excerpt: In the Amduat, the night-journey of the Egyptian Sungod is divided into twelve hours, each of them containing an enormous amount of insight into the human psyche. The entire Amduat could be called the first 'scientific publication' of humankind describing or mapping the dangers, but also the regenerative capabilities of the night-world, providing answers to basic human questions. The synopsis of the different scenes of the Amduat, all in colour, together with its explaining text, is unique. This book is a treasure for all those who want to explore the archetypal structure of the objective psyche, with its helpful but also with its dangerous forces.

Download or read book The Teachings of Ptahhotep written by Ptahhotep and published by . This book was released on 2016-02-08 with total page 74 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 2016 Reprint of 1909 Edition. Full facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. Originally published as "The Instruction of Ptah-Hotep" and also as "The Maxims of Ptahhotep," the work is believed by some scholars to be the oldest book in the world. Authorship is attributed to Ptahhotep, a vizier under King Isesi of the Egyptian Fifth Dynasty (ca. 2414-2375 BC). It is a collection of maxims and advice in the sebayt ("teaching") genre on human relations and are provided as instruction for his son. The work survives today in papyrus copies, including the Prisse Papyrus which dates from the Middle Kingdom and is on display at the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. There are considerable differences between the Prisse Papyrus version and the two texts at the British Museum. The 1906 translation by Battiscombe Gunn, published as part of the "Wisdom of the East" series and which is reprinted here, was made directly from the Prisse Papyrus, in Paris, rather than from copies. Some lessons include: Learning by listening to everybody and knowing that human knowledge is never perfect are a leitmotif. Avoiding open conflict wherever possible should not be considered weakness. Justice should be pursued and in the end it will be a god's command that prevails. Greed is the base of all evil and should be guarded against, while generosity towards family and friends is praiseworthy."
