Book From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms

Download or read book From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms written by Jarno Moilanen and published by BoD - Books on Demand. This book was released on 2020-06-29 with total page 138 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms (FFFK) is the first truly authoritative, detailed and coherent, young-earth creationist overview of the post-flood history of the ancient Near East (and the land of Israel), for laypersons and scholars alike. It is a unique work which does not have serious rivals in the biblical-creationist book market. The lack of a good and comprehensive introductory book was the main reason why I started to write the book in the first place. I have made use of the best available scholarly literature, Christian as well as secular. The book contains a lot of my own research, but it is also in very good agreement with the archaeological articles written by A. J. M. Osgood (can be read at creation.com) and the books of David Down (Unwrapping the Pharaohs and Unveiling the Kings of Israel), for example. FFFK follows the absolute chronology of Floyd Nolen Jones' The Chronology of the Old Testament. As a Bible-faithful narrative introduction to the history and archaeology of the ancient Near East, From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms is far better than the existing apologetic works that come towards the genre of FFFK (Evidence for the Bible by Clive Anderson and Brian Edwards; Ancient Post-Flood History by Ken Johnson; The World's Story 1: The Ancients by Angela O'Dell, for example). From Flood to Fallen Kingdoms will strengthen the faith of numerous believing readers who take the Holy Scriptures seriously. They will also be surprised to see how well the first five post-flood centuries, from Ararat to Abraham, which until now have been in great darkness, can be elucidated through proper interpretation of biblical and archaeological evidence.

Book Divine Appointments

Download or read book Divine Appointments written by David Scott and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-08-04 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At the age of seventy-six with my health failing, I wrote this autobiography to help others learn from my past experiences. It is my testimony about God's grace, mercy, faithfulness, patience, love, salvation, healing, deliverance, and particularly His sovereignty. Because of God's sovereignty, my life has been a series of divine appointments. Looking back, I can now see how God was watching over my life, even before I experienced His saving grace. I made several serious mistakes in my walk with God, which I hope will help the reader learn from my errors. You will find my experiences with God to be encouraging, informative, enlightening, inspiring, and protective regarding the many spiritual landmines the kingdom of darkness lays to harm us. God has worked in my life in such a way that He has combined what I did as a private detective before my conversion to Jesus Christ with the ministry He called me to after His saving grace delivered me from occult deception. The things I learned from each divine appointment will help the reader not only grow in your personal relationship with God but also to understand political and economic forces that are trying to enslave the world under the Antichrist.

Download or read book Battle for the Firstborn written by Mary Nell Wyatt and published by . This book was released on 2020-10-21 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did the Exodus really happen as described in the Bible? Secular and even many Biblical scholars say "no." But one man, Ron Wyatt, an amateur archaeologist and avid student of the Scriptures, said "yes!" He believed the Bible to be an accurate record of historical events and forms the basis through which physical evidence should be interpreted. Through the lens of Scripture, he discovered several Biblical sites which are today recognized as authentic by many experts and scholars. This book documents Ron's relentless quest for the truth concerning the Exodus and the discoveries he made which answered several questions such as: - Who was the Biblical Joseph in ancient Egyptian history? - Who was "pharaoh's daughter" who rescued Moses? - Who was the amazing person in ancient Egypt who fits the profile of Moses perfectly? - Where is the location of the Red Sea crossing? - Who was the Exodus pharaoh who drowned in the Red Sea? - Was the firstborn son of the Exodus pharaoh whose life was taken by the "angel of death" really Tutankhamun, or "King Tut?" - What happened in Egypt after the demise of its pharaoh and army in the Red Sea? - Why did Ron and his sons spend 75 days in prison in Saudi Arabia, accused of being Israeli spies, after finding the real Mount Sinai? - What amazing evidence was found at Jericho? These and many other questions are answered in this fact filled book about Egyptian archaeology and the Biblical Exodus story. Many books have been written about these amazing events but none of them have been able to piece the two together until now! Battle for the Firstborn documents only some of the many discoveries God allowed Ron Wyatt to find, none of which Ron took personal credit for. Ron believed God preserved these findings for this time as we approach the end of all things as prophesied in the Scriptures.

One day fourteen-year-old Sophie Amundsen comes home from school to find in her mailbox two notes, with one question on each: "Who are you?" and "Where does the world come from?" From that irresistible beginning, Sophie becomes obsessed with questions that take her far beyond what she knows of her Norwegian village. Through those letters, she enrolls in a kind of correspondence course, covering Socrates to Sartre, with a mysterious philosopher, while receiving letters addressed to another girl. Who is Hilde? And why does her mail keep turning up? To unravel this riddle, Sophie must use the philosophy she is learning—but the truth turns out to be far more complicated than she could have imagined.

Book Noah And The Great Flood

Download or read book Noah And The Great Flood written by Jerry Blount and published by Gatekeeper Press. This book was released on 2017-04-17 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The apostle Peter warned us that in the last days before the end times, there would be a new philosophy that would deny that there ever was a worldwide flood. They would deny that God created the world, the existence of God, and the coming end time judgment by fire. Today we see this taking place exactly as Peter had predicted. This book provides proof of a Biblical worldwide flood and backs it up with geological data. The information in this book offers evidence of creation by an omnipotent God and a global flood as God’s judgment of a sinful world. It provides evidence as to what the earth was like before the flood. It was a world, which after creation God had declared very good. Even after the fall of man, it was still paradise compared with the world we know today. The effects of catastrophic worldwide flood changed this planet drastically. This book also offers extensive proof that disproves the theory of evolution. New scientific discoveries are showing that evolution is impossible. Also contained in this book is considerable scientific evidence, showing that the earth is only a few thousand years old. This book may go against much of the popular scientific views of today, but it does so with the evidence to back it. The Bible gave us the history as well as the future of this world. The scientific and geological data that is available today fits well within that Biblical framework. In fact, it fits within the Biblical framework much better than any theories the evolutionary community has come up with, as this book will show.

Book DATELINE WORLD 20 Dispatches from the Earth One from Hell

Download or read book DATELINE WORLD 20 Dispatches from the Earth One from Hell written by Milton J. Nieuwsma and published by Brick Tower Press. This book was released on 2023-09-26 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A favorite shelf in my bookcase leads with By-Line: Ernest Hemingway, a compendium of journalism the great novelist wrote to support himself as he worked on his fiction. Right next to it is Ernie’s War, dispatches by Ernie Pyle, the most famous of World War II correspondents. Milton Nieuwsma’s fine volume joins this shelf of honor.” —From the foreword by Tom Stites, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning editor/journalist “Compassion and humility radiate from Milt’s pen. I followed him to Auschwitz twenty-five years after he wrote his evocative account of the 50th anniversary of the camp’s liberation. His exhortation to listen to the stories of the survivors is a sample of his great writing: ‘To turn away is to kill them a second time. But to listen is to confront the monster that lurks in the human soul.’ A must read.” —Malcolm Brabant, correspondent, PBS NewsHour; author, The Daughter of Auschwitz Before he turned to writing for public television, Milton Nieuwsma traveled the world covering stories for the Chicago Tribune and other major newspapers. This book is a compendium of 21 of his best pieces—20 from the earth and one from hell. He takes you to the Arctic and the Antarctic; to the Amazon and the Nile; to Auschwitz, the scene of humanity’s greatest crime, and to a rural Mississippi courtroom where the acquittal of Emmett Till’s killers sparked the civil rights movement. “Milt Nieuwsma is a master of his craft,” writes Tom Stites. “Its value still leaps out of the page at the reader.”

Download or read book Blindsight written by Peter Watts and published by Macmillan. This book was released on 2006-10-03 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hugo and Shirley Jackson award-winning Peter Watts stands on the cutting edge of hard SF with his acclaimed novel, Blindsight Two months since the stars fell... Two months of silence, while a world held its breath. Now some half-derelict space probe, sparking fitfully past Neptune's orbit, hears a whisper from the edge of the solar system: a faint signal sweeping the cosmos like a lighthouse beam. Whatever's out there isn't talking to us. It's talking to some distant star, perhaps. Or perhaps to something closer, something en route. So who do you send to force introductions with unknown and unknowable alien intellect that doesn't wish to be met? You send a linguist with multiple personalities, her brain surgically partitioned into separate, sentient processing cores. You send a biologist so radically interfaced with machinery that he sees x-rays and tastes ultrasound. You send a pacifist warrior in the faint hope she won't be needed. You send a monster to command them all, an extinct hominid predator once called vampire, recalled from the grave with the voodoo of recombinant genetics and the blood of sociopaths. And you send a synthesist—an informational topologist with half his mind gone—as an interface between here and there. Pray they can be trusted with the fate of a world. They may be more alien than the thing they've been sent to find. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.
