Book The Apprentice God s Handbook

Download or read book The Apprentice God s Handbook written by Steve Quadrio and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2001-02-28 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The manuscript is a logical, easy to read discussion on religion, history and politics and how those particular institutions seek to control our lives. How we, as individuals can deal with the spiritual restrictions which are forced upon us. It is not necessary for us to accept our circumstances in life if it is detrimental to our own well being, purely because it advances a government’s, religion’s, corporation’s or Queen’s hidden agenda for retention of control of the Earth’s future. We are forced by our masters to accept many things as absolute ‘truths’ however with some thought it is simple to create our own knowledge about our place in this diverse universe. It is contrary to the development of the individual to accept that they are less important than Presidents or Kings. You hold the key to the future of the Earth and to the very Universe itself. This book will impart upon the reader the ability to accept their insignificance and at the same time the knowledge of their absolute worth.

Book Making the Gods Work for You

Download or read book Making the Gods Work for You written by Caroline Casey and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2007-12-18 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Making the Gods Work for You presents internationally renowned author Caroline W. Casey's remarkable doctrine of Visionary Activist Astrology. In this reverently irreverent mystery school disguised as a book (in which each of the planetary gods is a professor), we are invited to think of our lives as spiritual detective novels. For example, Venus teaches us that our affinities and quirks are clues to our unique mission and contribution to the world. The astrological language of the psyche is a tool for deciphering and revitalizing this sense of mission. Casey teaches you how to expand your range of intimacy with the ten parts of yourself represented by the planets, here called gods. You will learn how to use this language to reverence and feed the forces of your psyche that connect you to very real external forces. This book intends to catalyze a movement to engage the imagination of all people with a sense of humor and a desire to do collaborative good in the world. Expanding on the ideas first presented in her popular audiotape series, Inner and Outer Space, Casey explores the archetypes at the heart of human relationships, aspirations, and spiritual quests. In an engaging narrative enlivened by stories, fables, exercises, and meditations developed through her work as an astrological counselor, she provides a practical system of personal and collective liberation. Making the Gods Work for You provides us with innovative principles to live by and rituals inviting us to become active, dynamic participants in the dance of life. We can then become increasingly conscious players on the team of creation, capable of sharing our gifts with the world at this crucial historical time. From the Trade Paperback edition.

Book The New Interpreter s Handbook of Preaching

Download or read book The New Interpreter s Handbook of Preaching written by and published by Abingdon Press. This book was released on 2010-11-01 with total page 879 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New Interpreter’s Handbook of Preaching is a major reference tool for preaching, with articles on every facet of Christian sermon preparation and delivery. This resource is both scholarly and practical. It focuses on the most distinctive feature and greatest strength of homiletics as a discipline: It is rooted in interdisciplinary scholarship and it develops theory geared to practice. Its theory arises out of the study of both excellent preaching past and present and actual sermon preparation and composition. When theory and practice critique each other, it is possible to produce guidelines that assist greater excellence and economy in preaching the gospel. Excellence in standards is an area in which homiletics needs to grow, and this project will be both a means to encourage and develop it. A guiding question throughout will be, Will it preach? The answers will be offered in the sense that “here is something that works well,” rather than “here is something to try.” Preachers will turn to this resource with the expectation that they will find scholarly treatment of topics, brief bibliographies of relevant key books and articles, along with practical methodological suggestions for preachers to employ. The contributors are homileticians, preachers, and writers in various disciplines who are committed to the pulpit through practice.

Book How to Guide the Apprentice

Download or read book How to Guide the Apprentice written by JD Julian and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-04-30 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This guide is a basic structure of the apprenticeship. It is a guide for the Master to keep a structure of instruction and a consistent curriculum. It is a guide for the apprentice to develop as a tattoo artist and gain credibility. I wrote this guide for the sole purpose of what I expected from my apprenticeship, and how I could make sure my apprentice are completely competent of all aspects of a tattoo parlor. I feel this guide has a sound structure for all Masters to follow. This industry is booming and as Masters, we need to set higher standards of qualifications as a must. We need to demand more before they walk through the door. If a person seeks employment and has little knowledge of the trade or a small tattoo portfolio, guide the person in the direction of an apprenticeship. I can be confident with this curriculum each and every time the apprentice should have strict criteria to follow. I was an apprentice under two different Masters. Each Master taught different attributes of our field, first two years were shop structure and basic tattooing procedures. If it wasnt for this opportunity, the other door would have never presented itself. For this I am grateful. Now my second two year apprenticeship came to me just the same as the first, as if by fate. I was at a real low point in my career and just at that point of uncertainty I was approached by a big red headed dude at the local diner. He acquired about a piece on my neck and gave his compliments to the artist. He left me his card and urged me to call him. I had nothing to lose, and two days later I made that call and made an appointment to come see him. I was not there in his shop all but twenty minutes when he just burst out with I might be looking for an apprentice! and getting approval of acceptance from his wife, I was given another opportunity. This curriculum sets a clear standard of what each apprentice should be taught. This is an instructional guide for keeping the apprentice on track. This is a review book for those lead artist interested in taking on an apprentice. I set the professional standard of curriculum for my shop. What do you use for yours? There is so much history about art, not including the amazing tattoo artists that bring the art to life. Let us set our entry level standard for apprenticeship higher and keep this curriculum mandatory, as our own professional standard of all tattoo artist. Some Masters focus on shop function, others focus on procedures some Masters have sacred trade secrets, no matter the Masters instructional guidance now we all have a professional standard of curriculum. My hope is that all Masters share the same knowledge with each apprentice and pass down too generations to come. I wrote this guide to help me with the knowledge of what I needed to know to guide my apprentice, if this helps you be a better Master and gives your apprentice a better understanding of what is expected. It can turn a long hard road into a nice cool breeze for every apprentice.
