L'obiettivo è quello di individuare strumenti pratici e comprensibili per l'uso nei processi di decisioni di investimento. Un lavoro che si svolge attraverso l'analisi di valori stima di progetti mediante metodi di attualizzazione. In questo lavoro vengono forniti strumenti finalizzati a risolvere e determinare le variabili di flussi di cassa che oggi la teoria economica e di business non ha. Nel processo di valutazione di investimenti, la prassi in uso in finanza richiede l'ausilio di computer per elaborare processi iterativi al fine di determinare alcune incognite; In realtà, questo è inevitabile in quanto non vi sono soluzioni uniche per taluni parametri di flussi di cassa e, quindi, i metodi si basano su computer. Le difficoltà nel valutare l'IRR, per esempio, sono note e gli operatori in genere sanno che gli strumenti sono incompleti in finanza applicata. In questo lavoro viene presentato un approccio nello stendere graduatorie di valutazione che prevede l'uso di forme ridotte per mezzo di alcuni parametri, costanti, che determinano le variabili VA, VAN, e tasso di rendimento dei progetti, siano essi investimenti di capitale di business o strumenti finanziari ottenuti consultando tabelle di semplice uso. In secondo luogo, si affronta una questione importante in analisi finanziaria e storia della finanza: la valutazione dei progetti dopo il debito. Come gli investitori operano spesso sotto vincoli di bilancio, si presenta un approccio alla trattazione di flussi di cassa per cui questo compito si riduce alla somma di 2 entità, una per le attività di progetto e uno per le passività o debito. In generale, con l'uso di questo testo, il lettore dovrebbe essere in grado di trovare soluzioni a problemi di analisi di cash flow e di investimento mediante l'uso di tabelle fornite in appendice alla fine del libro e di impostare semplici operazioni per affrontare le soluzioni in questa scienza non sempre intuitiva di valutazione degli investimenti finanziari e di applicare i risultati a compiti più complessi, come gli investimenti per le imprese e di progetti immobiliari.

The 2019 World Development Report will study how the nature of work is changing as a result of advances in technology today. Technological progress disrupts existing systems. A new social contract is needed to smooth the transition and guard against rising inequality. Significant investments in human capital throughout a person’s lifecycle are vital to this effort. If workers are to stay competitive against machines they need to train or retool existing skills. A social protection system that includes a minimum basic level of protection for workers and citizens can complement new forms of employment. Improved private sector policies to encourage startup activity and competition can help countries compete in the digital age. Governments also need to ensure that firms pay their fair share of taxes, in part to fund this new social contract. The 2019 World Development Report presents an analysis of these issues based upon the available evidence.

The investment science consists in the evaluation of financial return assets performed through cash flow discounting techniques. This technique ideally comprises 4 stages. - The first is the quantification of the main items relating to the cost, yield and residual value of an investment. - The second phase is the evaluation of the present value of an investment asset taken per se. - The third relates to the valuation of the asset when a debt is risen to purchase it. - The fourth is related to methods for selecting projects according to ranking. In this essay this process is reviewed and illustrated by grouping the main components in a format that simplifies the evaluation and comparison of projects, eliminating some inconsistencies that are present today to analysts. With the use of this text, the reader should be able to find solutions to cash flow and investment analysis problems through the use of tables provided in the appendix at the end of the book and to set up simple operations to deal with the solutions in this not always intuitive science of investment evaluations and to apply the results to more complex tasks, such as investments for companies. Competence required: at least two years of lower division courses in economics or business studies.

They provide a high quality photographic record not merely of the landscape at that time, but offer the prospect of the better survival of remains reflecting its earlier history, whether manifest as earthworks, cropmarks or soilmarks. These various sources of imagery also provide an opportunity to examine from the air areas of Europe and beyond whose skies are still not open to traditional archaeological aerial reconnaissance. Tens of millions of such images are held in archives around the world, but their research potential goes very largely untapped. A primary aim of this volume is to draw to wider attention the existence, scope and potential access to historical archival aerial and satellite photographs, in order to encourage their use in a range of archaeological and landscape research.
