Une influenceuse a eu cette idée après qu'un de ses abonnés a exprimé son mécontentement, à travers un commentaire, concernant ses vêtements décontractés, qui, selon eux, diminuaient son professionnalisme dans ses vidéos. Elle a d’abord exprimé son appréhension face aux critiques et a même envisagé la possibilité de reprendre ses vidéos. Cependant, elle a vite reconnu sa préférence pour s'adresser à un type spécifique d'élève dans ses cours – des individus possédant la capacité de se concentrer, plutôt que ceux qui seraient facilement distraits par leur tenue vestimentaire. Cette révélation lui a permis de comprendre qu'elle n'était pas obligée de répondre aux préférences de chacun. Elle possédait la capacité de déterminer avec précision le groupe spécifique d'individus pertinents pour sa profession et d'utiliser sa capacité intellectuelle pour les attirer.

Just as calling dominant paradigms into question leaves room for creative opportunities, so does the comparison of theoretical approaches and technical models of data collection. Questions related to methods are not purely technical or merely philosophical reflections. The examination of the method used in scientific investigations necessarily leads us to question the validity and consequences of research results. From this point of view, the journal Méthod(e)s is not a forum for simple discussions on the mechanics of research but a tool to question social interests influencing academic research and giving it a political function.
