Book Table of Integrals Series and Products

Download or read book Table of Integrals Series and Products written by I. S. Gradshteyn and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2014-05-10 with total page 1207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Table of Integrals, Series, and Products provides information pertinent to the fundamental aspects of integrals, series, and products. This book provides a comprehensive table of integrals. Organized into 17 chapters, this book begins with an overview of elementary functions and discusses the power of binomials, the exponential function, the logarithm, the hyperbolic function, and the inverse trigonometric function. This text then presents some basic results on vector operators and coordinate systems that are likely to be useful during the formulation of many problems. Other chapters consider inequalities that range from basic algebraic and functional inequalities to integral inequalities and fundamental oscillation and comparison theorems for ordinary differential equations. This book discusses as well the important part played by integral transforms. The final chapter deals with Fourier and Laplace transforms that provides so much information about other integrals. This book is a valuable resource for mathematicians, engineers, scientists, and research workers.

Book Introduction To Quantum Mechanics Schrodinger Equation And Path Integral Second Edition

Download or read book Introduction To Quantum Mechanics Schrodinger Equation And Path Integral Second Edition written by Harald J W Muller-kirsten and published by World Scientific Publishing Company. This book was released on 2012-07-19 with total page 942 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text on quantum mechanics begins by covering all the main topics of an introduction to the subject. It then concentrates on newer developments. In particular it continues with the perturbative solution of the Schrödinger equation for various potentials and thereafter with the introduction and evaluation of their path integral counterparts. Considerations of the large order behavior of the perturbation expansions show that in most applications these are asymptotic expansions. The parallel consideration of path integrals requires the evaluation of these around periodic classical configurations, the fluctuation equations about which lead back to specific wave equations. The period of the classical configurations is related to temperature, and permits transitions to the thermal domain to be classified as phase transitions. In this second edition of the text important applications and numerous examples have been added. In particular, the chapter on the Coulomb potential has been extended to include an introduction to chemical bonds, the chapter on periodic potentials has been supplemented by a section on the band theory of metals and semiconductors, and in the chapter on large order behavior a section has been added illustrating the success of converging factors in the evaluation of asymptotic expansions. Detailed calculations permit the reader to follow every step.

Book Practical Considerations for Abel Inverting of Photographic Data with Application to the Analysis of a 15 kW Wall stabilized Arc light Source

Download or read book Practical Considerations for Abel Inverting of Photographic Data with Application to the Analysis of a 15 kW Wall stabilized Arc light Source written by W. L. Snow and published by . This book was released on 1972 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Temperature profiles were measured for agron atmospheric pressure by using absolute line and continuum intensity and were compared with stark width and shift measurements. A detailed analysis of the engineering aspects of setting up for Abel inverting deta photographically is presented. The merits of using photographic detection and of using continuum radiation for temperature profile analysis are discussed. The importance of empirically determining the optical depth is emphasized by discrepancies between measured (two-path) and calculated estimates.

Book Rigid Body Dynamics for Space Applications

Download or read book Rigid Body Dynamics for Space Applications written by Vladimir Aslanov and published by Butterworth-Heinemann. This book was released on 2017-04-22 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rigid Body Dynamics for Space Applications explores the modern problems of spaceflight mechanics, such as attitude dynamics of re-entry and space debris in Earth's atmosphere; dynamics and control of coaxial satellite gyrostats; deployment, dynamics, and control of a tether-assisted return mission of a re-entry capsule; and removal of large space debris by a tether tow. Most space systems can be considered as a system of rigid bodies, with additional elastic and viscoelastic elements and fuel residuals in some cases.
