Cross sections for the interactions producing strange particles are listed. The SIGMA /sup +/ singular distribution shows a strong backward tendency for the hyperon. The effective mass distributions for pi /sup +/ -- p yields LAMBDA /sup o/ + K/sup +/ + pi /sup o/ indicate a LAMBDA - pi resonance (/sup */) with a mass and width of 1382 plus or minus 4 Mev and 28 Mev. The Y/sup */ decay seems to be independent of the production, andd the andgular distributions of Y/sup */ decay snd production support a spin assignment>1/2. In the SIGMA /sup +/ + K + pi /sup o/ and SIGMA /sup +/ + K/ sup o/ + pi /sup +/ final states, only the 885-Mev K/sup */ could be definitely verified. (D.C.W.).

This chamber is particularly well suited for the study of neutral particles because of its large volume. Experimental inclusive cross sections are sigma (K/sub s/$sup 0$) equals 4.17 +- 0.45 mb, sigma (LAMBDA°) = 1.74 +- 0.24 mb, sigma (anti LAMBDA°) = 0.82 +- 0.13 mb. The average number of K/sub s/°, LAMBDA°, anti LAMBDA° per inelastic collision are approximately independent of charge multiplicity. F1(x) and F2(p2/ sub t/) distributions as well as two strange particle mass plots are presented. (auth).
