This is followed by separate chapters on molecular symmetry and chirality; nomenclature for chirality, prochirality, and stereo-differentiating reactions; the mechanisms of stereo-differentiating reactions; methods for studying stereo-differentiating reactions; and the basic principle of optical activity.
