Early Reviews Easily a new classic Normally I either power read through an entire book or read it over a month as a casual read. This story captured me from the first chapter, I had to force myself to stop halfway through it to digest the concepts and story. Upon restarting it the next day I found that I was even re-reading a couple of chapters from before where I left off just to refresh my memory so I did not miss a single nuance of the story. I loved it!!! From the concept to your descriptive writing, you had me hooked from the beginning. Yes, space-themed novels appeal to me, but I am sure anyone could find something they love about this book. The Plot Thickens I loved the book! The storyline was great. The characters believable. I really liked the characters of Jason, Seattle, and Tinker. Mu-monk was absolutely the best character to me! Can't wait till the next book. I really hope this is the start of a great series.

Book excerpt: The only solution to humanity's plight is itself part of the problem—and it's not even human Despite appearances, TJ—now Private First Class Todd John Jacobs—has little in common with his fellow rangers. After all, there's a world of difference between blending in and fitting in. When a military assignment in Iraq goes horribly wrong, will this outsider's differences prove a boon or a blight? Civilization, itself, may rest upon the shoulders of one man...who isn't a man at all. Colonel Stanwick knows the truth about Jacobs and aims to eliminate FreeForm by leveraging that knowledge...but can a shapeshifter be bent to a mere mortal's will? Fighting fire with fire could lead to an inferno that swallows the globe. Graver still, a reanimated Homlin has grown increasingly powerful and evil as Val as his revived plot nears fruition. Under the tutelage of the artificial intelligence, Aeo, Val is positioned to forge connections with those that rule the planet, at least for now. But all too soon, Earth's natives may find themselves longing for a ruthless cartel's comparative mercy. With James Stepp falling into old habits, paths will cross as pivotal pieces connect. Things are coming to a head...and it isn't human. Endlessly addictive. Stunning. Equally brilliant and dark... Such is its cosmic craftsmanship, Book III of the FreeForm Series begs another imperative question: what planet did O. J. Bradford come from? Reader beware: there's no other option. Total surrender assured.

Book The Fringe Candidate

Book excerpt: A race against evil . . . and time — Delivering a simple truth can be the most courageous act — — Exposing evil rulers is a game of life or death — Led to the brink of destruction by its corrupt POTUS, Amberica is bleaker than ever. Who could hope to unseat Oscar Wellian, a fascist who wields the full force of martial law? Plenty are willing to try, but only one entrant has what it takes to give Oscar a run for his ill-gotten gains. Enter Angeline Tarkington . . . the people’s final hope. Despite her heart of gold and concrete ideals, it won’t be easy. Is Tarkington’s integrity enough to combat systemic corruption and heal a hemorrhaging nation? An amalgam of corporate interests known as ‘The Triumvirate’ will stop at nothing to silence her, and Tarkington can’t expect victory without sacrifice. Tarkington’s ability to transform those around her will be put to the ultimate test, as new allies may mean the difference between victory and defeat, but will they join her? In any case, she’ll need to tread very carefully. Unmasking a monster will be an invitation to an all-out duel with the nation as the prize. With The Fringe Candidate, Brad Swift offers readers a picture of untold possibilities. The Amberica series is visionary fiction from a dreamer’s apex—dark and doubly daring for its optimistic soul. Pick up your copy today and begin to hope for a better future today! Early Reviews: Are You Kidding Me! Terrific and timely political fiction laced with humor. In 2020 one candidate for the Presidency could change everything The Fringe Candidate, by Brad Swift, is inspired by Marianne Williamson, a candidate in the 2020 elections against Donald Trump for the Presidency. While this is a fictional story, it is 100% on the mark with regards to the state of America’s political system, showing without apology or pulling any punches, that it has clearly been hijacked by those with money and power. Knocking you out of your sox. I simply had to smile a number of times what with the naming convention followed in the naming of the major characters. Oscar Wellian? Orwellian allegorical in nature? However thinly disguised the naming convention, there is no disguising the fact that The Fringe Candidate is a major political commentary on American elective procedures. If judging on the first book, The Fringe Candidate, the Amberica series is going to knock a whole lot more readers out of more than just their sox. You'll laugh, scream, throw the book, cry, and who knows what else? I mean, let's face it, the names are... well, they're not very well disguised. The President who tweets constantly, with the Orwellian (clearly) name and complex (also clear)... The complete unknown who comes from nowhere to take on the fight to win the Presidency... there's so much to dissect here, it's hard to really get into, and without spoilers? Yikes! The Power of Truth and Desire I loved the intrigue and the ease with which the story flowed, first. Secondly, I liked how what seems impossible can become possible. I think we all need models of that in our lives, certainly, I do. Most of all I enjoyed seeing how the love or desire for something can make a huge difference in one's life. Laugh, curse, and a good story to enjoy This is very closely tied to our election process, for better or worse. A good insight into what happens behind the scenes. It will make you laugh, piss you off and make you want to read it. Enjoy and vote. A great read I really enjoyed this story and the way that it gave a look at what our government is doing. The editing was done very well throughout the book, to me it was more worth read and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

Book excerpt: Humanity is divided between those who have chosen a simulated existence and those seeking life among the stars in this far-future science-fiction adventure. The Beta Explorers have succeeded in their mission of terraforming planets to establish human colonies across the galaxy. But as the inhabitants of these new worlds come of age to govern themselves, their ambition plateaus and stagnates. Instead of continuing to pursue scientific advancement and space travel in the physical Betaverse, many prefer the simulated environment of the Metaverse, where they can live innumerable immortal lives, free from illness and harm. Separated from her fellow Betas, who individually transformed one world at a time, Angelique Komene cloned herself and produced hundreds of habitable planets. Through her clones, the Ange Angels, she has guided billions to create democratic societies. But when her people start embracing the Metaverse, one colony after another, the clones make a startling discovery: a virus code-designed to influence the humans under their care to reject science in reality-was uploaded into the Betas' simulated minds before their terraforming mission even began, presumably the work of the authoritarian government, which outlawed space exploration to keep humanity contained in the Metaverse. Now, it is up to Angelique and the Betas to implement an antivirus to purge the contagion and reclaim their autonomy from Earth once and for all. But what if the virus did not originate on Earth after all? It seems an alien civilization has been spreading its own colonies across the universe. And if humans do not return to their home planet, the aliens may destroy the entire race . . . The second volume of the hit science-fiction adventure series-originally released on Royal Road and perfect for fans of Bobiverse and Children of Time-now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

And now their possibilities are very much here. But are we ready to handle these advances? Films from the Future looks at twelve movies that take us on a journey through the worlds of biological and genetic manipulation, human enhancement, cyber technologies, and nanotechnology. Readers will gain a broader understanding of the complex relationship between science and society. Book excerpt: “One of the most intriguing future cities in years.” —Charlie Jane Anders “Simmers with menace and heartache, suspense and wonder.” —Ann Leckie A Best Book of the Month in Entertainment Weekly The Washington Post Tor.com B&N Sci-Fi Fantasy Blog Amazon After the climate wars, a floating city is constructed in the Arctic Circle, a remarkable feat of mechanical and social engineering, complete with geothermal heating and sustainable energy. The city’s denizens have become accustomed to a roughshod new way of living, however, the city is starting to fray along the edges—crime and corruption have set in, the contradictions of incredible wealth alongside direst poverty are spawning unrest, and a new disease called “the breaks” is ravaging the population. When a strange new visitor arrives—a woman riding an orca, with a polar bear at her side—the city is entranced. The “orcamancer,” as she’s known, very subtly brings together four people—each living on the periphery—to stage unprecedented acts of resistance. By banding together to save their city before it crumbles under the weight of its own decay, they will learn shocking truths about themselves. Blackfish City is a remarkably urgent—and ultimately very hopeful—novel about political corruption, organized crime, technology run amok, the consequences of climate change, gender identity, and the unifying power of human connection.

Unknown to her, one girl secretly shares her defiance. Livia Cosmo, the Orphan Airess, may live on a sky island surrounded by wealth and privilege, but she is just as restricted as Lex.
