Book Poems of a Spiritual Awakening

Download or read book Poems of a Spiritual Awakening written by Anonymous and published by Abbott Press. This book was released on 2014-04-11 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poems of a Spiritual Awakening offers an intimate look at one poets own spiritual awakening over a period of twenty-seven years, going into and out of recovery. Most critical to this awakening is the all-inclusive universal power of a loving God as He revealed Himself to the author through this inspiring poetry. After many years knowing that change was needed but having no success finding what others had discovered to enable their recoveries, the author began writing poetry to express those innermost feelings. Through these verses, God became an overwhelming presence, awakening the authors innermost emotions and the need to finally begin recovery from addiction. From the pain of acknowledging a troubled past in Boogie Man to the poignancy of Self Love, the author gradually found a way to express deeply buried emotions and fears. This poetry collection was written in less than fifty days, with God providing the path to release and recovery. The Voice I had a voice, I made much noise, I knew just what to do, I yelled in here, I talked out there, the voice within my mind, it drove me very blind. I thought out there, I thought out here, could hardly get some air, and then your voice, that still small sound, just threw me to the ground. It quieted my spirit true and showed me what to do.

Book Poetry of Spiritual Awakening

Download or read book Poetry of Spiritual Awakening written by Hilton L. Anderson and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2011-10-18 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poetry of Spiritual Awakening presents a collection of poetry arranged in three groupings designed to indicate levels of conscious awareness experienced by author Hilton L. Anderson. Waking up spiritually is an individual process; even so, there are common themes experienced by many people that may help others in their own spiritual journey. In general terms, the separate ego state is focused primarily on the external reality while the spiritual is more focused on internal consciousness. Perhaps another way of explaining this spiritual awakening is recognizing the shift from the rational mind to heart consciousness. The way in which the poems of this collection are arranged is an attempt to make this shift obvious. Through the practice of forgiveness and the awareness of love, the separate self of the ego begins to lose its hold, allowing the awareness of the larger self to become the focus of attention. This awareness heals the separation of self from others and the Divine. Ultimately the awareness of the unitary nature of existence becomes known. The fear of death and its resolution are prominent concerns of many of the poems. The need to face the reality of death and understand it in a meaningful way is one of the basic learning explored by the poetry.

Download or read book The Leap written by Steve Taylor and published by New World Library. This book was released on 2017-02-14 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it mean to be enlightened or spiritually awakened? In The Leap, Steve Taylor shows that this state is much more common than is generally believed. He shows that ordinary people — from all walks of life — can and do regularly “wake up” to a more intense reality, even if they know nothing about spiritual practices and paths. Wakefulness is a more expansive and harmonious state of being that can be cultivated or that can arise accidentally. It may also be a process we are undergoing collectively. Drawing on his years of research as a psychologist and on his own experiences, Taylor provides what is perhaps the clearest psychological study of the state of wakefulness ever published. Above all, he reminds us that it is our most natural state — accessible to us all, anytime, anyplace.

Book Spiritual Science

Download or read book Spiritual Science written by Steve Taylor and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2018-09-18 with total page 307 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A mindfulness expert whose work has been hailed by Eckhart Tolle as “an important contribution to the shift in consciousness” offers a new vision of reality—one that is compatible with modern science and ancient spirituality. “With elegance and lucidity, Steve Taylor explains why spiritual science is the only hope for humanity.” —Deepak Chopra It is often assumed that there are two ways of interpreting the world: a rational scientific way, or an irrational religious way. Mindfulness expert, Steve Taylor, shows that there is a third possibility—a spiritual, or “panspiritist”, view of reality that transcends both conventional science and religion, recognizes spirit or consciousness as fundamental, and answers many of the riddles that neither can explain. Here, Taylor puts forward the evidence for a spiritual view of reality and examines the development and consequences of the materialist model. Drawing on the insights of philosophers, physicists, mystics, as well as spiritual traditions and indigenous cultures, he also systematically shows how a ‘panspiritist’ view can explain many puzzling aspects of science and the world such as: • human consciousness • altruism • near-death experiences • telepathy and pre-cognition • quantum physics • the placebo effect • neuroplasticity A compelling argument for a new vision of reality, Spiritual Science offers a bright vision of the world as sacred and interconnected, and of human life as meaningful and purposeful.

This book of poems are encouraging, and movational. For anyone that has gone through some things with family, a love one, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend It makes for a good read. It tells of my relationship I developed with God and how he keeps me grounded. Through his love I discovered that I actually had this amazing gift to write poetry. I didn't even discover I had this gift until about ten years ago. That's another book or another story. I wrote my first poem about ten years ago. I know that there's a lot of hurting, wounded and depressed people. I know what it's like to feel hopeless, and helpless as if there is no one to turn to or no way out . I found out that really just isn't true. There is always someone somewhere who can relate. Someone that has been there and has experienced the same thing. I'm hoping and praying all those who purchase this book will have a new out look and a new meaning on Life, God, love, and relationships. The characters in my book are myself, God, friends, and friends of friends, Mothers, Fathers, love ones that have passed away. My book of poems touches on todays' current issues and events. It touches on past events History, this country and people of all colors, from all walks of life, and all ages. It is real and from the heart. It makes for an easy read. I'm hoping to inspire, encourage people of all ages and all walks of life for anyone that is going through something or has been through something. I write a lot about God but I wont say that I'm so religious I will say that I'm very spiritual and I do pray and believe in God. This book of poems is not about religion. I choose to believe in a higher power that I just so happen to acknowledge him as God, Jesus, Father and the Lord. To me they are all one and the same. It was he who has blessed me with this gift.
