Book excerpt: The warriors riding have battled in astounding supernatural realms. Set captives free. And awakened thousands of hearts. But now their only chance of survival depends on calling forth the spirit bridge. Reece, Dana, Brandon, and Marcus have achieved staggering success in spiritual realms . . . but each is reeling from recent vicious attacks. They need rest. A break from the war. But the warlord Zennon is raging and will give them no quarter. The demon holds what he believes is a trump card—a hidden strategy set in motion before the Warriors Riding even began—that will detonate the team from the inside out. And he’s just set it loose. The street-magician Simon—finally free of Zennon’s alternate-reality prison—is racing to remember his past before his ignorance obliterates his destiny. Then there’s Miyo, a brash young warrior with advanced knowledge of spiritual realities and supernatural armor even Reece doesn’t know about. They will be pivotal in the final war against the Warriors Riding. If only the Warriors knew which side Simon and Miyo are truly on. Spirit Bridge is the epic conclusion to acclaimed author James L. Rubart’s Well Spring series, which will propel each of the Warriors Riding on a quest of true identity, ultimate freedom, and a final battle that will leave them changed forever. “. . . [an] amazing tale of angels, demons, and what it truly means to be connected to God’s plans for the future.” —RT Book Reviews for Memory’s Door Includes Reading Group Guide

Book Zack and the Validators Spirit Bridge

Download or read book Zack and the Validators Spirit Bridge written by Wayne Hunt and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2012-09-26 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, Zack and the Validators: Spirit Bridge, is the fourth in a series about Zack, an intelligent and handsome donkey, and his three donkey friends. They call themselves the Validators. Leaving San Francisco on a passenger ship, they travel to Skagway, Alaska, and then to Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada, to rescue Zacks Uncle Harry. As they travel up the Pacific Coast along the coasts of California, Oregon, Washington states, and the Inside Passage to Alaska, they see many new sights from the decks of their ship. The naturalist expert aboard the ship also provides comments over the ships sound system, periodically, as the ship arrives at certain sightseeing points. In addition, Zack reads books about each state to learn about it landscape, natural resources, industries, and history. He records much of this information in his journal as they reach particular places, cities, or towns. When Zack and his donkey friends arrive at Skagway, Alaska, theyre met at the dock by Miss Darlene Divine, Harrys best friend. Shes a moose whos the entertainment manager of Skagways Pack Horse Inn. She provides rooms for Zack and friends for the night, shows them around Skagway the next day, and helps them board a train to travel to Canada. They see a lot of beautiful sights along the White Pass Trail, one of the two trails used by the Klondike gold rushers to cross the coastal mountains into Canada. They also learn about Dead Horse Gulch where 3,000 horses died during the winter of 1897 because of hazardous trail conditions. The horses were also overloaded with supplies, and many were cruelly treated by their owners. Zack learns about how the gold rushers traveled over the Summit with over 1,150 pounds of supplies during cold, winter conditions. He also learned about how they built boats at Lake Bennett so they could float down the Yukon River to Dawson City. Uncle Harrys eyes were injured in a gold mine explosion near Dawson City and he needs special medical help so his eyes can heal. When Zack and his friends arrive at Dawson City on a paddle-wheeler boat, they soon find Uncle Harry in a Dawson City hospital. They stay in a Catholic churchs rectory with Fr. John Mark and Fr. Christopher Clancy, while Harry recovers enough to travel to Skagway for special medical treatment. While there, Willie and Pedro, two of Zacks donkey friends, travel with Professor Carmacky to Bonanza Creek to pan for gold, while the Professor learns more about the first big Klondike gold discovery. Zack stays in Dawson City with Zelda, another donkey friend, to help Harry regain his strength for travel to Skagway. Finally, Harry is able to travel. They return up the Yukon River through treacherous white water rapids to the town of Whitehorse. From there, they take a train to Skagway. While traveling to Skagway on the historic White Pass & Yukon Railroad train, Harry sees a foggy image of an old railroad bridge near the White Pass Summit of the coastal mountain range. He learned later, from the local Tlingit Indian chief, that he saw an abandoned steel cantilever bridge that crosses Dead Horse Gulch, a historic gulch where the 3,000 horses died during the 1897 Klondike Gold Rush. The chief explained to Harry his tribes great need to have a bridge across the gulch for migrating caribou to cross. He also told Harry about his tribes belief that the spirits of the dead horses need a bridge in order to cross the gulch to the Great Spirit Land (an animal heaven). With these great needs for a bridge, Harry discovers that his good talent is to become a bridge for others. He decides to stay in Alaska to help the chief renovate the bridge to make it usable for caribou to cross the gulch. The chief also believes the spirits of the dead horses will use it to cross the gulch, on their way to the Great Spirit Land. Thats why the name Spirit Bridge was given to the renovated bridge.

Book The Bridges of Avalon

Download or read book The Bridges of Avalon written by Nicholas A. Reiter and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2005 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bridges of Avalon: Science, Spirit, and the Quest for Unity is more than just another attempt to join the worlds of scientific objectivity and human spirituality. It is also a chronicle of truth-seeking; a story of two everyday people whose lives were touched by the hand of an invisible presence, and who followed the path that beckoned in its wake. Two paths became one; a path of friendship, research, and ever growing understanding as Nick Reiter and Lori Schillig formed The Avalon Foundation in 1996. Now for the first time in print, Nick and Lori present their experiences and discoveries in the realms of alien abductions, psychic research, energy healing, and paranormal investigation. The tales herein will touch any who have experienced first-hand "the mysterious" in their life, and bring fresh thought and speculation to those who have studied these topics in a scholarly way. Whether you are a researcher, spiritual seeker, student, or just another wonderfully everyday person who has dared to dream and ponder that which lies "beyond", the bridges of Avalon await your footsteps!

Download or read book Spirit and Trauma written by Shelly Rambo and published by Westminster John Knox Press. This book was released on 2010-09-02 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rambo draws on contemporary studies in trauma to rethink a central claim of the Christian faith: that new life arises from death. Reexamining the narrative of the death and resurrection of Jesus from the middle day-liturgically named as Holy Saturday-she seeks a theology that addresses the experience of living in the aftermath of trauma. Through a reinterpretation of "remaining" in the Johannine Gospel, she proposes a new theology of the Spirit that challenges traditional conceptions of redemption. Offered, in its place, is a vision of the Spirit's witness from within the depths of human suffering to the persistence of divine love.

Book Sleep and Dreams

  • Author : Rudolf Steiner
  • Publisher : SteinerBooks
  • Release : 2003
  • ISBN : 9780880105125
  • Pages : 242 pages

Download or read book Sleep and Dreams written by Rudolf Steiner and published by SteinerBooks. This book was released on 2003 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What are Dreams? Every age, every culture, perhaps every person, have different answers. We can at least agree on one thing, however: dreams are other. Their presence in our lives demonstrates that we are not limited to a single mode of consciousness. The world of sleep is largely a blank for us, an abyss of non-consciousness, yawning between one day and the next, but the very fact that we can dream announces our potential for awareness within that abyss. We spend a third of our life asleep--a fact that dream theorists rarely consider. This startling collection of lectures by Rudolf Steiner, selected and introduced by the psychologist Michael Lipson, provides a truly unique way of approaching dreams, based on an understanding of the spiritual nature of human beings. A radically new view of dreams "as the threshold to spiritual reality" arises, once we acknowledge that physical existence is only the tip of an iceberg hidden largely in the spiritual world. Sleep, death, and meditation are the three realms in which consciousness has the opportunity to deepen its immersion in the divine flow of existence. In principle, we can become infinitely more self-aware in each of them, since human consciousness is not fixed--neither in contents nor in terms of alertness. All day long, the contents of our consciousness change, and during the night, the level changes. These lectures permit readers to glimpse the fantastic depths of experience we normally "sleep through" and to contemplate Steiner's astounding program: to maintain self-aware consciousness through sleep, through death, through all being. Contents: The Secrets of Sleep Sleep and the Three-Part Soul Sleep and the World of the Stars Understanding Sleep through Imagination, Inspiration, and Intuition An Active Spirit: Dreams and the Spiritual Researcher Our inner Undercurrent: A Continual Dreaming Preparing for a New Birth Dreaming and the Etheric Body Inspiration: Bringing the Unconscious to Consciousness Confronting the Totality of Our Lives through Dreams The Logic and Illogic of Dreams Dreams and Human Development Interpreting Dreams Dreams: The Human Essence in Spiritual Connection
