Introductory sections set the context for the projects (including background on home care, provincial policies, & other issues facing home care in Canada) and provide an overview of the Fund's home care studies. The report then discusses significant & relevant findings of projects that examined the cost-effectiveness of home care, improving access, barriers to appropriate use, substitution of hospital services with home care, reforming existing programs, health human resources, & other issues. Finally, implications of the findings for policy & practice are discussed. The appendix summarizes information on the Fund projects relevant to home care.
