Book Perspectives on Synchronicity Inspiration and the Soul

Download or read book Perspectives on Synchronicity Inspiration and the Soul written by Rico Sneller and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2020-07-07 with total page 389 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the notion of the human psyche (‘soul’) and its continuing usefulness in the background of the ongoing and always accelerating techno-scientific revolution. The main argument here follows the assumption that this revolution, while not necessarily being a threat to humankind, is often blind or ignorant as to its subject, the ‘human being’. In the first chapters, the reader is invited to reflect on the notion of ‘thinking’ as a phenomenon of consciousness that transcends merely ‘having thoughts’. Relating thinking to consciousness requires reconsidering the phenomena of ‘inspiration’ and ‘ecstasy’. Provided that such a thing as ‘inspiration’ exists, it makes sense to revise the solipsist or substantialist account often given of the human mind. The book defines inspiration as a ‘clairvoyance of one’s psyche’, and ecstasy as the experience of this clairvoyance. Next, a case is made for synchronicity experiences as a key to a better understanding of the human psyche. While being enigmatic all throughout, synchronicity experiences, both on the individual and on the collective level, help overcome both subject/object and body/mind dualisms. It is not likely, though, that the solution they could offer will be readily accepted by (what is called) ‘science’ today, since it challenges one of the latter’s basic premises, ‘causality’. As a more concrete example of a condensed synchronicity experience, the author dwells on ‘physiognomy’. In the final chapter, death and suffering are discussed as extreme, and therefore relevant, experiences of consciousness. The book interprets death in terms of ‘enhanced subliminality’, and ‘suffering’ as unconscious resistance against maturing. Generally, this book explores a psycho-philosophical tradition, rooted in Romantic thinking (from Schelling and Schopenhauer until Klages and Jung), which has hitherto been unjustly neglected, if not repressed, by mainstream materialism and positivism. It makes a strong case for an intellectual account of the soul.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hello, my name is Philip R. Richards, the author of this book. I suppose you want to know something about the word smith that created these writings. Oh, this is my friend Harry pictured with me. He has passed now, but he will always be in our hearts. I was born in 1959, I enjoy photography and the natural world. I married a wonderful woman in 1983 and had two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Allison. I am blessed with a wonderful Granddaughter named Lillian Jade. We live in the Michigan, the winter wonderland. It is a beautiful state with much to explore. I discovered that I really enjoyed writing. Mostly I feel a need to write, to express how I view different aspects of life and to try to relate to other people with similar visions and view points. Writing is a great way to express your feelings and create an avenue between you and those around you. I hope you can relate to what I have written in this book, maybe enough to get Book II, when I get around to it.

Book excerpt: "Remarkable. This profound volume informs and inspires." —PW, STARRED review From the Pulitzer Prize–winning New York Times science reporter acclaimed for “bring[ing] scientific concepts to life” (Bill Gates), a pathbreaking new investigation into the mysteries of human creativity How does creativity work? Where does inspiration come from? What are the secrets of our most revered creators? How can we maximize our creative potential? THIS IS THE STORY OF HOW WE CREATE. Creativity defines the human experience. It sparks achievement and innovation in art, science, technology, business, sports, and virtually every activity. It has fueled human progress on a global level, but it equally is the source of profound personal satisfaction for individual creators. And yet the origins of creative inspiration and the methods by which great creators tap into it have long been a source of mystery, spoken of in esoteric terms, our rational understanding shrouded in complex jargon. Until now. Inspired is a book about the science of creativity, distilling an explosion of exciting new research from across the world. Through narrative storytelling, Richtel marries these findings with timeless insight from some of the world’s great creators as he deconstructs the authentic nature of creativity, its biological and evolutionary origins, its deep connection to religion and spirituality, the way it bubbles in each of us, urgent and essential, waiting to be tapped. Many of the questions Richtel addresses are practical: What are the traits of successful creators? Under which conditions does creativity thrive? How can we move past creative blocks? The ultimate message of Inspired is that creativity is more accessible than many might imagine, as necessary, beautiful, and fulfilling as any essential part of human nature.

Book Human and the effect of his soul

Download or read book Human and the effect of his soul written by Andreas Wolf von Guggenberger and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2023-06-12 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Human and the effect of his soul" Man and the effect of his soul Andreas, Wolf von Guggenberger creates a fascinating model of crea-tion, soul, spirit and body in his new work. With it he deepens his work: "Evolution of Creation and the Soul". As a short introduction, he presents his idea of a possible origin of creation and at the same time describes how the souls could have arisen in it. He then describes the inner levels of the human being. From the dynamics between the souls and the creation, he outlines the model of the spirit. Spiralling upwards, viewed from ever new angles, he describes the following levels of the soul: Spiritual levels of perception, Higher Self, evolutionary level, personality, ME and Ego, mask, defensive and protective attitudes of the EGOS and the transformation of ME and Ego. This is followed by the physical and mental drive systems with an expanded body model. He shows how self-forgiveness can help to dissolve feelings of guilt, fear, inferiority and power. Psychoanalytical, brain neurological, evolutionary and religious approaches merge naturally. From the perspective of the soul, he elaborates completely new perspectives and connections. The author breaks away from conventional models of thought and creates something fascinatingly new. He has taken the basic ideas of his book from his main work "Evolution of Creation and the Soul". In his main work he describes the background very extensively and in detail. His two books are very personal works. They are the result of personal introspection, research and a journey of knowledge. Therefore, the author did not initially think of publishing them. In his works, he relies on his own inner visions, which is why his concepts differ from those of other psychologists, philosophers and religious thinkers.
