Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work analyzes a subject of some controversy in light of sound hermeneutics and exegesis while building upon biblical truths that support this undertaking. This is not a simple academic exercise but rather instills in believers a sense of encouragement whereby we can arrive at biblical truths based on accurately handling the Word of God while taking a pastoral approach in applying these truths. The subject at hand is the "sons of God" in Genesis 6 and the book of Job, together with NT revelation that reveals who these "sons of God" are in both Testaments. Determining who these sons of God are in Genesis 6 and Job is more than simply winning an argument. It is at the crux of the spiritual war that began in the garden and continues today but can be misunderstood and therefore undermined by improper biblical approaches. This manuscript helps to set the stage for a proper redemptive historical look into the people of God and catapults the believer into a future hope that God promised to the patriarchs through a coming Messiah whose lineage in Luke 3:23 states, "Jesus Himself was about thirty years of age, being, as was supposed, the son of Joseph," and ends back in the garden in verse 38, "the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God." This is an instructive biblical account of the war that was precipitated between the two seeds that God set at odds with each other after Satan's temptation and Adam's rebellion. And as I move through the biblical particulars, the story finally ends as a "happily ever after" description of what God accomplishes through His victorious Son with His people ultimately ruling and reigning with Him on the new earth among the new heavens.

This book was released on 2016-09-02 with total page 62 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We live in a generation where loyalty to leadership is a rarity. The term Sonship has become a term for defining the adjutant, armor-bearer, or the close servant to leadership. While the term Sonship involves these aspects, it is not the totality of this position. Within this book we take a deeper look at the relationship of So- nship as seen through the eyes of a true son. Through out the bible we clearly see how important the role of the SON is in relation to the family. This generat- ion is filled with droves of "functioning bastards or unfathered sons." Believing that they are able to affect an entire generation with no accountabilty to one dominat voice. Thinking that by having multiple leaders who they affectiona- tely call "Mother & Father" that they are somehow excluded from the divine and biblically accurate principle of Sonship. Using their gifts to align themselves with leaders who will not challenge them to change or mature, hiding in the shad- ows of larger organizations because they refuse to submit to someone that can reach out and challenge them on their methods in ministry. Sonship is not a long forgotten term, just a rebellion driven practice. Sonship is not about convenience, it is about covenant This book just furthers the conversation of what it really takes to be in Covenant Sonship........ - Pastor D. Walder

Book Sons Sonship

Download or read book Sons Sonship written by Dumi Nkomo and published by Partridge Africa. This book was released on 2014-12-15 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The concept of Sonship in the 21st Century writings and sermons normally takes the form of protg and protge. This is an important biblical principle where, a mantle can be passed from fathers to sons. It is however, unfortunate that today many have claimed to be fathers without adherence to the biblical concept and likewise many claim sonship without a proper understanding of what it really means to be a son. In Sons and Sonship, Mr. Nkomo helps to bring home the fact that God has a special purpose for you as a son sons of God. There is a mandate that God has raised you for. He is saying Son of Faith Arise and Shine carry out the mandate of your father. Every son needs to find their purpose because creation is waiting. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God (Romans 8 vs. 19). This book will, I trust help you identify your purpose and sonship and bringing a revival in your life.

Book The Spiritual Child

Download or read book The Spiritual Child written by Dr. Lisa Miller and published by St. Martin's Press. This book was released on 2015-05-05 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The Spiritual Child, psychologist Lisa Miller presents the next big idea in psychology: the science and the power of spirituality. She explains the clear, scientific link between spirituality and health and shows that children who have a positive, active relationship to spirituality: * are 40% less likely to use and abuse substances * are 60% less likely to be depressed as teenagers * are 80% less likely to have dangerous or unprotected sex * have significantly more positive markers for thriving including an increased sense of meaning and purpose, and high levels of academic success. Combining cutting-edge research with broad anecdotal evidence from her work as a clinical psychologist to illustrate just how invaluable spirituality is to a child's mental and physical health, Miller translates these findings into practical advice for parents, giving them concrete ways to develop and encourage their children's—as well as their own—well-being. In this provocative, conversation-starting book, Dr. Miller presents us with a pioneering new way to think about parenting our modern youth.

  • Pages : 249 pages

Download or read book Stepping Stones written by Heather L. Claussen and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-03 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book develops the truth that the creation of the family was in God's heart from before the foundations of the world were laid. In this time of tragic breakdown in the family and the moral decline in our society, the Father's passion is to restore and reconcile the family back to Himself and to one another. His plan of restoration can be traced through the blood covenants in the Old Testament right up to the New Covenant, when Jesus came to shed His blood and reconcile us to the Father forever. It is time for the covenants to be reintroduced so that we can live our lives and raise our children to walk in covenant with the Living God. If we receive this revelation, we will no longer walk in fear and insecurity and will pass on this heritage of peace from generation to generation.

  • Author : Charles McPherson

Download or read book Sons of God written by Charles McPherson and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-07-23 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1980, the Lord, through His word, set before me a vision of what it means to be called "sons of God" and the authority He has given to His followers. Over the years, He has increased that vision, and while I am long way from walking in the fullness of it, I believe in these last days, many will walk in the fullness of God's new covenant in Jesus Christ. This book, Sons of God, began as an intended Facebook post. One morning, during my worship time, I sensed the Holy Spirit stirring in me that now was the time to start writing about the authority scripture declares belongs to the believer. However, as I began to write, I soon realized there was much more than a simple post coming forth. As a result of responding to the Holy Spirit that day, this book, Sons of God, was written. I believe it is the fruit of the Spirit of God in my life, but every word must be in submission to Holy scripture. If you find it not so, put it down. It is my desire to encourage and stretch the faith of those who desire a deeper walk with Jesus. If you have a longing in your relationship with the Lord that you have not been able to fill, this book may have some answers for you. A new journey is about to begin as there is so much more to the Christian life than most of us have experienced. I have attempted to create a vision of broader and deeper purposes of God. I pray this book will be an enlightenment and blessing to every reader.

Book Sons of God

Download or read book Sons of God written by Aaron David Batdorf and published by . This book was released on 2021 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Adoption as sons is a new covenant reality that is not fully experienced by Old Testament saints as it is merely foreshadowing what is to come in Christ as the mediator of a new covenant. Covenant theology is evaluated, and a different way forward is presented to show what Old Testament Saints experienced under the old covenant and how it points to the fulfillment in Christ. With this fulfillment, Christians gain the privileges of the true Son, the Lord Jesus, and are adopted as sons enabling them to cry out to the Father as such in a way no one under the old covenant could as the fullness of this reality was yet to come.

Book Phinehas the Sons of Zadok and Melchizedek

Download or read book Phinehas the Sons of Zadok and Melchizedek written by Dongshin Don Chang and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2016-08-11 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dongshin Don Chang examines 1 and 2 Maccabees, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Hebrews to see how the combined concepts of covenant and priesthood are defined and interlinked within various biblical and extra-biblical traditions. The three studies show the interesting and varying dynamics of the use of combined concepts of covenant and priesthood. The articulations of the two entities are shown to reflect, in part, the concern of the Second Temple Jewish authors; how significant the priestly institutions and priesthood were, not only in cultic matters, but also in relation to political and authoritative concerns. Chang's analysis makes clear that some of the Second Temple compositions have pursued ideas of the legitimacy of priestly identities by juxtaposing the concepts of covenant and priesthood from various traditions. Interpretation and representation of certain traditions becomes a way in which some Second Temple Jews, and some members of the early Jewish Christian communities, developed their priestly covenantal identities. It is with an understanding of this, Chang argues, that we can better understand these Second Temple texts.
