Even more shocking is the identity of one of the captives. Five months ago, Josh and FBI special agent Jaycee Finney shared a weekend of passion that ended badly. Now she's in danger and claims he's her baby's father. Jaycee owes Josh the truth. After her reckless conduct almost got Josh killed, he's justified in not trusting her. But with the mastermind of a black market baby ring gunning for her, it's Jaycee who has to trust Josh with her life and the life of their child. Sawyer Sawyer Ryland instantly recognised her: the beautiful blonde who shared his bed only to deceive him in the end. He vowed never to trust her again, but Cassidy O'Neal's on the run from kidnappers...with a newborn in her arms. Cassidy will do anything to save her family, even flee to her ex with a baby who isn't hers — but might be Sawyer's child. The lawman's code of honour forces him to take Cassidy and the baby girl into his protection. Now both can't fight the passion between them. A passion that'll take all their willpower to ignore and every effort to survive. Christmas Rescue At Mustang Ridge Sheriff Jake McCall is about to break the law. To find a bone marrow donor for his ailing baby girl, he'll hack into WITSEC to track down Maggie Gallagher — the only person who could be a genetic match. Yet by doing so, he is jeopardising not only his badge, but also Maggie's life. Jake is unprepared for Maggie's willingness to help — and for the desire she arouses in him. But these forbidden feelings could shake Jake's focus. With time running out and a killer on the loose, Jake must keep Maggie alive — and give his daughter a Christmas miracle.

Not an easy taks for anyone in 1894, especially in the midst of a drought that has nearby ranchers desperate for the water on her land. So it is that rancher Jeremy Johnson comes to call upon Angel, hoping to strike a bargain that will allow his cattle to graze on the fertile Rogers land and drink from its sparkling waters. Instead, he finds himself increasingly drawn to Angel, and finds he wants he love more than anything else. But to what lengths are other ranchers willing to go in order to gain access to Rogers Creek? And what is Angel willing to sacrifice to keep her ranch from falling into the wrong hands? Ginny Aiken's growing readership will enjoy Spring of My Love as much as they loved the first two installments of the Silver HIlls Trilogy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Kade One look at the baby girl, Kade Ryland knew he was the father. For three months, Kade had posed as Bree Winston's husband at the Fulbright Fertility Clinic, while the two FBI agents investigated illegal adoptions and surrogates. Nine months later, a baby appeared but Bree was nowhere to be found. To find Bree, Kade had to reopen a case that has become too personal. But if they were never a real couple, were Kade and Bree ready to be parents? Whatever the answer, Kade had more than one reason to close this case forever. Gage He faked his death for good reason, but CIA operative Gage Ryland has a better reason to return. Though they broke up years ago, Gage wants to save his ex-wife — his very pregnant ex-wife — Lynette Herrington from a hit man. Obviously the baby proves she's gotten over Gage. Or has she? While on the run, Gage feels sparks between them. But he knows he must fix a decade of hurt before Lynette will trust Gage again. But complicating his emotions is Lynette's pregnancy...and how her unborn child could be his. Mason Danger isn't a new thing on his ranch, but for Deputy Mason Ryland this was the final straw. Someone was targeting his family and the brooding lawman now had a new person to protect: horse trainer Abbie Baker. Abbie's arrival suspiciously coincided with the latest attack. Soon, Mason uncovers an old secret between Abbie and the Rylands. The discovery irks him, but Mason can't ignore the threats facing beautiful Abbie. As a lawman, he'll protect her during the investigation. As a man, he'll provide personal protection through the summer nights...
Download or read book The Davis Ranch Site written by Rex E. Gerald and published by University of Arizona Press. This book was released on 2019-04-30 with total page 825 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this new volume, the results of Rex E. Gerald’s 1957 excavations at the Davis Ranch Site in southeastern Arizona’s San Pedro River Valley are reported in their entirety for the first time. Annotations to Gerald’s original manuscript in the archives of the Amerind Museum and newly written material place Gerald’s work in the context of what is currently known regarding the late thirteenth-century Kayenta diaspora and the relationship between Kayenta immigrants and the Salado phenomenon. Data presented by Gerald and other contributors identify the site as having been inhabited by people from the Kayenta region of northeastern Arizona and southeastern Utah. The results of Gerald’s excavations and Archaeology Southwest’s San Pedro Preservation Project (1990–2001) indicate that the people of the Davis Ranch Site were part of a network of dispersed immigrant enclaves responsible for the origin and spread of Roosevelt Red Ware pottery, the key material marker of the Salado phenomenon. A companion volume to Charles Di Peso’s 1958 publication on the nearby Reeve Ruin, archaeologists working in the U.S. Southwest and other researchers interested in ancient population movements and their consequences will consider this work an essential case study.
