Amid the ceaseless assaults of ignorance, selfishness, and weakness it stands as the citadel of our liberal knowledge. It cannot be taken from without, unless it is first surrendered from within. It cannot be surrendered from within to the forces of ignorance, selfishness, and weakness, so long as its defenders are enlightened, unselfish, and vigorous.
