Book Seven Pillars of Christianity

Download or read book Seven Pillars of Christianity written by Dr. William Ekane and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2011-09-21 with total page 373 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The revelations contained in the Bible serve as a supreme guide by which to measure all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions—and today’s Christians are in steady moral and spiritual decline. A 2010 survey by the Barna Research Group reveals that in American churches, Christians have become less knowledgeable about the Bible, less interested in spiritual disciplines, and more desirous of secular techniques to solve life’s problems, thus blurring the distinction between their conduct and that of nonbelievers. In Seven Pillars of Christianity: An Introduction to the Essential Christian Doctrines, Dr. William Ekane reveals the life-transforming foundations of the Christian faith and issues a clarion call for Christians to return to authentic Christianity. First presenting his compelling case for the scientific reliability and divine origin of the Bible, Dr. Ekane works closely with Scripture as he leads us through everything from the Lord Jesus Christ to trust and faith in the living God to, finally, the five major judgments and Revelation. These practical, strategic insights and essential truths are invaluable to new converts as well as mature believers. The Word of the Holy Spirit offers transformation, illuminating our hearts and minds as we strengthen our spiritual foundation and grow deeper in God.

Book The 7 Pillars of God s Wisdom

Download or read book The 7 Pillars of God s Wisdom written by Herbert Lockyer and published by Whitaker House. This book was released on 2013-05-31 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our Power and Wisdom The book of Proverbs says, “Wisdom has built her house, she has set up her seven pillars” (Proverbs 9:1). And the apostle Paul referred to Jesus Christ as “the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24) to us. Legendary Bible teacher Herbert Lockyer unfolds the seven “pillars” of divine wisdom demonstrated in Christ’s incarnation and redeeming work on earth that the church upholds as essential truths of the faith. Understanding these pillars will help us to become more like Jesus and to fulfill God’s purposes, both here and in eternity: The Pillar of Mystery The Pillar of Incarnation The Pillar of Vindication The Pillar of Revelation The Pillar of Proclamation The Pillar of Belief The Pillar of Glorification The early church was dynamic in its witness because it continued steadfastly in these pillars of the Christian faith. Likewise, when we meditate reverently on the events and truths of Jesus’ coming to earth, we appreciate more deeply the great salvation that we have received, and we become more eager and able to share these liberating truths with others.

Download or read book God s Magnificent Eight written by Dr. Ernan Norman and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2021-01-27 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “AND SAMPSON SAID TO THE YOUNG MAN WHO HELD HIM BY THE HAND, ‘LET ME FEEL THE PILLARS ON WHICH THE HOUSE RESTS, THAT I MAY LEAN AGAINST THEM’” (Judges 16:26, ESV) Mark Finely has rightly said that there are “seven basic teachings” on which God has built His church. “Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars.” These seven pillars are essential, and “the non-negotiables:” Scripture (John 17:17) Salvation (John 3:16) Second Coming (John 14:1-3) Sabbath (John 14:15) State of the Dead (John 11:11-26) Sanctuary (John 17:4, 11, 24) Holy Spirit and Spirit of Prophecy (John 14:15-17) (Prov. 9:1; Mark Finely, Solid Ground, p. 374) “The house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” is built on these seven pillars, 1 Tim. 3:15. Because of this, Dr. Norman identifies the church as an eight pillar. This eight pillar rests on the other seven “non-negotiables.” These “non-negotiables” are in turn rooted and grounded in Christ, and they define who we are as a biblical community of faith. Tragically though, great uncertainty concerning the pillars abound. The “non-negotiables” are under assault. And this assault will intensify as a mighty sifting sieve. “Those who seek to remove the old landmarks . . . bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary . . . [they are] working as blind men . . . [they are] seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor,” (E. G. White, Manuscript Release No. 760. P. 9, 1905). If there ever was a time, we needed the resolve of Sampson, it is now! The author hopes that this book will inspire this resolve—a resolve that will lead us back to the pillars; back to the “non-negotiables.” Like Sampson, may we feel the pillars once again, and lean on “the non-negotiables” centered in Christ.

This book was released on 2021-10-06 with total page 127 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is written to empower you to face every battle that comes your way. With this book the Lord will put his armor upon you and destroy the fiery darts of the enemy. There are seven principal pillars of Satan you need to pull down before success and salvation can be erected in your destiny. This book addresses them all. They comprise pride, lack of knowledge, anger, and lack of faith; prayerlessness, self-affliction and pursuit of vanity. You are not expected to plant good seeds of life and reap little or nothing. You are created a unique person and; to achieve unique reward. You are the salt of the world. This book will provoke you to action and win every battle of life. You are to crack every concrete situation in your life so that your destiny may thrive. The seven pillars are dangerous to humanity. They swallow effects of prayer. The wicked do this intentionally by placing load of distractions in your hands. They do it with smiles but with wickedness in their heart. Satan is smart! He places load of distraction in our hands and turn it to pillars designed to swallow our destiny. Distraction takes priority in our life over the glorious presence of God so that we lose appetite for God and receive no vision or revelation. We must checkmate the wickedness of the enemy. It is for this reason this violent spiritual book loaded with spiritual missile bullets is written. This book will silence and break to pieces these evil pillars. There are battles seeking your daily tears and ready to bury your destiny. They are spiritual pillars that say; “if I am not lifted, you can’t be lifted”. They are there pressing you down, boasting you can’t go. They are happy to press you down. They are spiritual vultures assigned in the spirit to announce your obituary. At this point; call on angels of war to come to your aide and fight the battle. You need drastic, violent and no nonsense spiritual powers to destroy the evil pillars. Your cry to God won’t have effect if you are not prayerful and know what to do. This book gives good counsel to go about it. This book is wonderfully packaged with violent prayers vomited by Holy Spirit. Arise and pray. Now is the time every witch and wizard, and every form of evil power that surrounds you should surrender. Above all, this book will give you access to the following as you count success over the seven pillars of darkness. You shall be set free from the grip of the enemy. The powers of your father’s house shall bow. Losses shall seize in your life. Your destiny shall experience spiritual fertility and growth. Pillars of darkness assigned against you shall break to pieces and expire. The glory of the Lord shall locate you and your eagle shall fly high. Helpers shall arise for your sake and locate you. Every dark battle against you shall bow and scatter. Every dark arrow of limitation, untimely death, bad health, poverty and whatever shall backfire to the sender. Every dark pillar troubling you in order to swallow your destiny and keep you in perpetual cry and agony shall be pulled down by fire. The battle is won. Pick your copy and buy for others. Your joy is borderless and super! Congratulations and praise the Lord!

Book The Seven Pillars of Creation

Download or read book The Seven Pillars of Creation written by William P. Brown and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2010-02-26 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In their highly selective and literal reading of Scripture, creationists champion a rigidly reductionistic view of creation in their fight against "soulless scientism." Conversely, many scientists find faith in God to be a dangerous impediment in the empirical quest for knowledge. As a result of this ongoing debate, many people of faith feel forced to choose between evolution and the Bible's story of creation. But, as William Brown asks, which biblical creation story are we talking about? Brown shows that, through a close reading of biblical texts, no fewer than seven different biblical perspectives on creation can be identified. By examining these perspectives, Brown illuminates both connections and conflicts between the ancient creation traditions and the natural sciences, arguing for a new way of reading the Bible in light of current scientific knowledge and with consideration of the needs of the environment. In Brown's argument, both scientific inquiry and theological reflection are driven by a sense of wonder, which, in his words, "unites the scientist and the psalmist." Brown's own wonder at the beauty and complexity of the created world is evident throughout this intelligent, well-written, and inspirational book.

Book Seven Pillars of a Biblical Church

Download or read book Seven Pillars of a Biblical Church written by John B. Carpenter and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2022-02-02 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Uncovering seven lessons from Scripture and the Puritans, John Carpenter applies the principles and practices that are often neglected by the church today but are key in making a church truly biblical. Drawing on his background as a scholar of Puritanism and years of planting and pastoring a church, Carpenter establishes each pillar on the Bible and shows, through Scripture and practical examples, how they work. Beginning with the tale of how an eyewitness account of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center shows us the perils of only seeing part of God's revelation, we see: why we must listen to what God says about himself; why we must understand that the gospel is not a self-help plan; why salvation is so simple that it can be reduced to a bumper sticker (“Jesus saves”) but is still so often misunderstood, leading to unconverted people leading churches; and why believers aren't called just to go to church but to be covenanted members of a specific church where they can be corrected by their pastors and where worship is centered on God, not on personalities, putting on a show, or attracting crowds.
