Book excerpt: Ever since the dawn of human life on this planet, Man has always sought to understand Nature, his own place in the scheme of Creation and the purpose of Life itself. Book The Glorious Quran and Science

Download or read book The Glorious Quran and Science written by Faisal Ahmad Qureshi and published by . This book was released on 2021-05-06 with total page 126 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Verses of the Quran are called "Ayats". Quranic "Ayats" are proofs, miracles, and signs of Allah (swt) (The God). In the Quran, not only are the verses Ayats, but Allah says phenomenon in Nature, Earth and the Universe, fundamentally all things in His Creation, are also Ayats. Also, in the Quran, Allah (swt) says to reflect on the Ayats in both the Quranic verses as well as on Creation in order to believe in Him and His Messenger and follow the Divine Laws. The Quran itself has attributes of many things. Some of them are mentioned as "The Book of Enlightenment", "Criterion", "Light", "Reminder", "Admonishment", "Clear Evidence", "Wise", "Invincible", "Word of the Honorable Messenger" (Gabriel (as)), "Guidance", "Book of Revelation", "Recitation". Since in the Quran it refers to natural phenomena in the Heavens and Earth as Ayats as well, and upon reflecting on them, we can see connections and descriptions of scientific facts and theories that exist therein. These in themselves are miraculous given the scientific knowledge known at the time and place of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw), The Chosen One, when receiving Revelation. In this book, we can speculate the scientific reality of certain Ayats of the Quran. This includes scientific fields of physics, astrophysics, biology, quantum mechanics, mathematics, and in some cases, string theory. As a Muslim, the Quran is the source of truth for the reality of all things. We will see how certain Ayats match current scientific knowledge, both factual and theoretical, but also in some cases, where there are differences from the theoretical side of science. But in these cases, as we have multiple theories of science, where we hold some to be more possible actualities than others, the Quranic Ayats still adhere to one of them that we consider to be a possibility. Theories are in themselves, speculations. English Translation of Quran done by Talal Itani

Book Islam Science and the Challenge of History

Download or read book Islam Science and the Challenge of History written by Ahmad Dallal and published by Yale University Press. This book was released on 2010-05-18 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In this wide-ranging and masterly work, Ahmad Dallal examines the significance of scientific knowledge and situates the culture of science in relation to other cultural forces in Muslim societies. He traces the ways the realms of scientific knowledge and religious authority were delineated historically. For example, the emergence of new mathematical methods revealed that many mosques built in the early period of Islamic expansion were misaligned relative to the Ka'ba in Mecca; this misalignment was critical because Muslims must face Mecca during their five daily prayers. The realization of a discrepancy between tradition and science often led to demolition and rebuilding and, most important, to questioning whether scientific knowledge should take precedence over religious authority in a matter where their realms clearly overlapped"--Page 2 of cover.

This book seeks to spiritually unite by highlighting similarities in the texts. (The Qur'an & Modern Science: Compatible or Incompatible?)Ever since the dawn of human life on this planet,Man has always sought to understand Nature, his own place in the scheme of Creation and the purpose of Life itself. Since the message of the Qur'an is believed to be for all times, it should be relevant to every age. Does the Qur'an pass this test? In this booklet, I intend to give an objective analysis of the Muslim belief regarding the Divine origin of the Qur'an, in the light of established scientific discoveries. There was a time, in the history of world civilization, when 'miracles', or what was perceived to be a miracle, took precedence over human reason and logic. But how do we define the term 'miracle'? A miracle is anything that takes place out of the normal course of life and for which humankind has no explanation. However, we must be careful before we accept something as a miracle. An article in `The Times of India', Mumbai, in 1993 reported that 'a saint' by the name 'Baba Pilot' claimed to have stayed continuously submerged under water in a tank for three consecutive days and nights. However, when reporters wanted to examine the base of the tank of water where he claimed to have performed this 'miraculous' feat, he refused to let them do so. He argued by asking as to how one could examine the womb of a mother that gives birth to a child. The `Baba' was hiding something. It as a gimmick simply to gain publicity. THIS BOOK HAS MUCH MORE ADDED INFORMATION ON THE NEW DISCOVERIES OF SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION FOUND IN THE HOLY QURAN & THIS INFORMATION IS ARRANGED AND ORGANIZED BY AUTHOR MR.FAISAL FAHIM. THE LATEST INFORMATIONS ARE ALL ADDED IN 2014 REVEIWED BY FAISAL.Allah (swt) Says : "Invite to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Revelation and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided."[Quran 16:125]From author:To the people who loved reading & purchasing my book. Please share my book & tell others about it.And please write a positive review about my book on the website.I really appreciate it & thank you very much.
