Book Ben Roethlisberger

    Book Details:
  • Author : Jackson Carter
  • Publisher : Independently Published
  • Release : 2020-11-27
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 56 pages

Download or read book Ben Roethlisberger written by Jackson Carter and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2020-11-27 with total page 56 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Big Ben" Roethlisberger led his Pittsburgh Steelers to a Super Bowl win against the Seattle Seahawks in 2006 when he was a mere 23 years old-the youngest pro quarterback ever to do the deal. Only three years later, he aired it out and won the biggest Bowl again versus the Arizona Cardinals. The second time around was a lot tighter for Ben and tense Steeler fans as he waited until literally the last minute to find Santonio Holmes for the clinching score. But don't think that Ben only plays football. He's got his own line of barbeque sauce, "Big Ben's BBQ", and started a foundation to support police and fire departments and their special K-9 dogs in the U.S. He's busy finding ways to improve the quality of life for both Ohio and Pennsylvania inhabitants. "Big Ben" is definitely not a misnomer: the man stands 6'5" (1.96 m) and tips the scales at 240 pounds (109 kgs.). It's not completely clear if this natural size comes from Ben's work in the weight room, an extra trip to the BBQ pit with a bottle of his special sauce in hand, or a bit of both. Now at age 38, still in the Steel City, he continues to break records and looks "better than ever" doing it. Interestingly enough, Ben has become a spokesperson for Swiss Roots, a campaign set up to help Americans of Swiss origin reconnect with their ancestors and heritage in Switzerland. After researching his own family history that can be traced to Geissbühl, a small farming community in the municipality of Lauperswill (not far from Bern), Roethlisberger and his family finally enjoyed a trip to stunning Switzerland to take in the sights in May, 2006.

Book Ben Roethlisberger

Download or read book Ben Roethlisberger written by Belmont and Belcourt Biographies and published by Price World Publishing. This book was released on 2012-06 with total page 51 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ben Roethlisberger is a person who can be viewed in two very different lights. In one light, he is a true professional football player. He is a tough man who delivers more punishment at the quarterback position than he receives, is almost impossible to sack, has been named to multiple Pro-Bowls, has won two Super Bowls, and would do anything for his teammates to help them win. In a different light, people may see an immature man who defiantly refused to wear his helmet when he rode his motorcycle. They may see a man who has been accused of rape on multiple occasions. They may see someone who is not nearly as committed to the game of football when he is not playing. Like many people, there is a lot to Ben Roethlisberger. The good and the bad make him one of the most compelling figures in sports. Inside, you will discover where it all started and learn exactly why he is so controversial. From family to football to the future, all you need to know about Ben Roethlisberger is right here, right now, in the most up to date coverage of Ben Roethlisberger's life. This book is current through Ben's 2012 playoff loss to Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos and also includes all of his college and NFL statistics.

Book The Sports Strategist

Download or read book The Sports Strategist written by Irving Rein and published by Oxford University Press, USA. This book was released on 2015 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The sports industry is more complex than ever before, and succeeding within it now requires an equally dynamic approach. Teams and leagues across many sports face unprecedented competition in worldwide markets as the cost of doing business increases and traditional revenue streams face pressure. In light of these changes, the idea that winning championships is the key to organizational success is misguided. The Sports Strategist: Developing Leaders for a High-Performance Industry reveals which areas in the industry, unlike winning, can be controlled and maximized for consistent success. Aspiring leaders in the sports business will learn how to design identities, manage narratives, and maximize new technologies in order to implement business analytics and build public support. These techniques are vital to creating a successful sports organization that is ready to reap the benefits of winning when it does happen, without having to rely on it when it doesn't. In such a high-performance field, the demand for well-equipped leaders is great, and The Sports Strategist provides the necessary tools and techniques for their success.
