Book Sandy Feet Whose Feet

Download or read book Sandy Feet Whose Feet written by Susan Wood and published by Sleeping Bear Press. This book was released on 2019-04-15 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When a family spends a day at the beach, the children investigate various footprints to see what type of creatures live along the shoreline. Rhyming text turns a sandy beach into an outdoor classroom. The tracks and habits of local wildlife, including hopping sandpipers, scuttling crabs, and burrowing turtles, are identified and explained for young ecology detectives. Even Daddy's feet make an appearance! And at day's end, it's time for tired feet to make their way home. STEM-based back matter includes information on how clues like footprints can identify the type of wildlife inhabiting any given habitat.

They run the gamut from cash prize bingo, to a rum distillery, to off-track betting. You name it, Bubba is doing it. Arriving at the hotel is Beatrice Rutherford-Smythe (The epitome of the New England blue bloods) and her daughter Traci, to check out the hotel for Tracis wedding. They have an appointment with Madame Coco, the hotels wedding planner, who unfortunately has eloped. The only staff member who knows anything about weddins is Uncle Bubba, who, coerced by Audrina, now has to spend the rest of the play, alternating between himself and Madame Coco. Two other guests are checking in today. Tracis fiance, Peter Mudd, and a mysterious Douglas DuPont. Through a mix up of room numbers, a sweries of mistaken identities ensues. Candy, the hotel receptionist is bribed by Beatrice to flirt with Peter, but ends up with Douglas. Douglas, who is actually an innocent travel writer for a destination wedding publication, is mistaken for a federal agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Candys report to Beatrice introduces a roller coaster of events creating an on again-off again wedding. In the midest of all this mayhem,Bubba and Beatrice appear to be falling in love. Peter and Traci are reconciled (Several times), and Audrina and Douglas find they have a strong attraction for each other. Throughout the play though, one question remains unanswered: Is it true love or is it the mystique of Sandy Toes & Salty Kisses at the Lovers Landing Beach Hotel?

Book Sandcastles Made Simple

Download or read book Sandcastles Made Simple written by Lucinda Wierenga and published by ABRAMS. This book was released on 2019-03-15 with total page 373 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A step-by-step guide to building elaborate and impressive sandcastles with a basic understanding of sand and a few simple tools. A crenellated turret here, a winding, arched staircase there, maybe even a giant turtle—fairy tale ideas are at the heart of every sandcastle. Summer after summer, children and adults alike make valiant efforts to infuse their sandy structures with such inspiration, but the results are generally disappointing. With Sandcastles Made Simple, Lucinda “sandy feet” Wierenga, a renowned sand sculptor, puts a permanent end to less-than-perfect beach creations. She provides the ultimate step-by-step guide to building impressive sandcastles, and shows that with a few simple tools and a basic understanding of sand, building dream castles can be easy. The book features instructions for each of the architectural elements—base, staircase, roof, balcony, and more—that can be combined to fashion one-of-a-kind castles. Also included are two projects designed specifically for younger children. Like a shovel and pail, Sandcastles Made Simple is an on-the-beach necessity.
