A well-known colonel, who wrote a book on horsemanship, and was one of the finest horsemen ever seen, was accustomed to assert that good riding, besides being much more comfortable, was a great deal easier to learn than bad riding; and there is much truth in the remark. It is with the object of helping the aspirant to equestrian honors to acquire a correct style that we put this little book into his hands.
