Download or read book Concealed Truth Revealed written by Vivian Elizabeth Stett Muir and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2019-11-06 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Carolyn Bryant tells her story. She begins with her attempt to commit suicide and her depression in 1977. After twelve years, she told her family that if she did not get help, she would succeed next time because no one would catch her. Carolyn took on therapy just like she took on everything else. She gave it her all. She became a voracious reader, consuming every book Sandy, her therapist, recommended. She wrote a letter to her parents relating her fifty-four years of pain and anger. Following the writing of the letter, she was plagued with partial memories that did not make sense. She met Bob, a hypnotherapist, who was to become the next leg of the three-legged stool that would change her life forever. A few weeks after meeting Bob, she called him and said she would like to make an appointment. He said, "I was waiting for your call." She made an appointment and began retrieving lost memories. She was beginning to find herself. She decided to change her name to Vivian. A few years later, the third leg of the three-legged stool appeared. So much happened by chance. Or was it by chance? The author Richard Bach says that nothing is by chance. Vivian won a free massage at a dinner. She went to several massage sessions, and the lady said to her, "I have never done this before, but I think I have a friend who is also a Rikki masseuse, and I think she is who you should be seeing. If you try her and are not satisfied, I will always be available." Vivian made an appointment with Gayle and knew immediately that she had just found the third leg of her three-legged stool.

Book God Revealed My Husband Was Leaving

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life for Lewisa DeBlake was good. She embraced the wonderful love of God and her family, which she immensely adored. Therefore, she purposefully placed God into her daily life by way of spending time singing praise and worship songs to Him, listening to His Word, and teaching her children about Him too. So, imagine the traumatizing horror she felt after God showed her in a dream her husband was leaving her. Many dreams and prophetic words followed leading Lewisa towards the plan God had for her life, but that revelation came at a high price. It caused Yury, the love of her life, to scorn her and become an emotional recluse. Simultaneously, the weight of the situation drove him into a life of lies, women, and secrets. If that wasn’t bad enough, God guided her to walk by faith and move to Dallas, TX. She lost everyone and everything obeying God’s voice. In order to survive, Lewisa suppressed her emotions of confusion, fear, heartache, and rejection, as she groped around in the dark in unfamiliar territory. However, a change is coming.

Book Around the Kitchen Table

Download or read book Around the Kitchen Table written by Laura Forsythe and published by Univ. of Manitoba Press. This book was released on 2024-04-07 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Honouring the scholarship of Métis matriarchs While surveying the field of Indigenous studies, Laura Forsythe and Jennifer Markides recognized a critical need for not only a Métis-focused volume, but one dedicated to the contributions of Métis women. To address this need, they brought together work by new and established scholars, artists, storytellers, and community leaders that reflects the diversity of research created by Métis women as it is lived, considered, conceptualized, and re-imagined. With writing by Emma LaRocque and other forerunners of Métis studies, Around the Kitchen Table looks beyond the patriarchy to document and celebrate the scholarship of Métis women. Focusing on experiences in post-secondary environments, this collection necessarily traverses a range of methodologies. Spanning disciplines of social work, education, history, health care, urban studies, sociology, archaeology, and governance, contributors bring their own stories to explorations of spirituality, material culture, colonialism, land-based education, sexuality, language, and representation. The result is an expansive, heartfelt, and accessible community of Métis thought. Reverent and revelatory, this collection centres the strong aunties and grandmothers who have shaped Métis communities, culture, and identities with teachings shared in classrooms, auditoriums, and around the kitchen table.
