Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We see disturbing trends in society when one watches the news or scrolls through their social media feed. Divorce, fatherlessness, split families and domestic violence are some of the atrocities which have been the outcome for many years. Albert Pooley saw this trend in his Native American people and wanted to do something to help strengthen their families. He developed the Fatherhood Is Sacred(R) program promoting responsible fatherhood and strengthening individuals and families by laying a strong foundation of a purpose-driven life. Originally this book was written in manual form for Native American fathers and mothers taught by Mr. Pooley who is the founder of Native American Fatherhood and Families Association (NAFFA), located in Mesa, Arizona. As his message of that manual spread all over the country, there were many who wanted to buy the manual without taking the course to get the information. This was not the intent of the manual. To keep the integrity of the original intent of this program, we transformed the information in the manual to teach the principles of what Albert Pooley has taught since 2002 into this book, Restoring Family Unity: The Pathway to Building Strong Family Relationships. Mr. Pooley's ideals of the Creator, Choice, Vision, Teachable, Wisdom and Service are explained here with stories of participants who have benefited from Fatherhood is Sacred(R) and are strengthening their own families. Readers will find Restoring Family Unity: The Pathway to Building Strong Family Relationships inspiring as these principals will have a positive affect and will build relationships that will last forever.

Book Restoring the Power of Family

Download or read book Restoring the Power of Family written by Jonathan Claussen, MD and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-09-22 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Family was created to be powerful. Adam and Eve were commissioned to tend the Garden of Eden, and their children were supposed to reproduce the culture of the Garden over the whole world. Unfortunately, in the Garden we were separated from the Father and family lost its identity, its purpose, and its power. Although we were orphans, the Father never stopped pursuing us, and "when the fullness of time had come," our loving Daddy sent Jesus on a rescue mission. He restored us back into the presence of the Father and to our identity. Family was and still is the Father's plan. The time is now for families to be restored and play a critical role in the "restoration of all things." This book provides key strategies that bring healing to your own heart, to your family relationships, and to the inheritance mindset. The result will be a restoration of power and influence that was your family's destiny from the beginning of time

Download or read book The Fulfilled Family written by John F. MacArthur and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2008-06-08 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a world of divorce, casual sex, and homosexual unions, "family"?once the bedrock of our culture?is becoming a matter of uncertainty and argument. From some quarters, traditional roles for men and women are ridiculed. And standing firm in a healthy, well-functioning family is harder than ever. So how can you have a happy home? How can you pass on strong morals to your children in a world going awry? By following God's divine plan for family life," writes Bible teacher, pastor, father, and grandfather John MacArthur in this book. There's no magic formula. There's no gimmick. It's not about how many times you do something, or who is in charge of this or that, or what kind of processes or methods you use. It comes down to answering these questions: "Am I committed to obedience to the Spirit of God? Am I committed to the controlling influences of the Word of God? Am I going to live out a Christian life?" If you can answer yes to all of those questions, then you are bound to have a successful, fulfilled, God-honoring family life.

This book was released on 2018-03-15 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on the Mediterranean/MENA migration crisis and explores the human security implications for migrants and refugees in this troubled region. Since the Arab uprisings of 2010/2011, the Middle East and North Africa region has experienced major political transformations and called into question the legitimacy of states in the region. Displaced populations continue to suffer due to the major conflicts in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere, causing fragmentation and dis-integration of communities. Contributors to this volume analyze how and why this crisis differs significantly from previous migration/refugee flows in the region, explain the historical and political antecedents of this crisis which have played a part in its shaping, and explore the relationship between human security and the protection of vulnerable individuals and groups.

  • ISBN : 1136219595
  • Pages : 257 pages

Download or read book Adaptations written by Deborah Cartmell and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-06-17 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Adaptations considers the theoretical and practical difficulties surrounding the translation of a text into film, and the reverse process; the novelisation of films. Through three sets of case studies, the contributors examine the key debates surrounding adaptations: whether screen versions of literary classics can be faithful to the text; if something as capsulated as Jane Austens irony can even be captured on film; whether costume dramas always of their own time and do adaptations remake their parent text to reflect contemporary ideas and concerns. Tracing the complex alterations which texts experience between different media, Adaptations is a unique exploration of the relationship between text and film.

Book Human Rights and Biomedicine

Download or read book Human Rights and Biomedicine written by George P. Smith II and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2021-08-04 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The eight chapters within this volume are structured around an exploration of the fundamental issues in the field of biomedical human rights: dignity and autonomy in not only procreative liberties but throughout the complete cycle of life and death, the freedom of scientific inquiry into the new biotechnological methods of collaborative reproduction, the right to genetic integrity at birth and throughout life, and the equitable right to health or access to health care benefits during life and old age. All these central issues are tested, of necessity, but utilitarian principles which, in turn, force the templates for decision making, evaluate the gravity of harm deriving from a particular human right and its recognition and enforcement measured against the utility of the social, economic, or cultural good accruing from recognition of such a right in the first instance. Ultimately, cultural relativism will be seen - more often than universality - as the determinative point of balance. This volume not only informs the ongoing debate on the role of human rights in biomedicine, but will also provide enlightened responses to the troublesome issues presented in this new age of biotechnology.
