Book excerpt: This is the inaugural issue of the International Journal of Therapeutic Jurisprudence, a journal produced by Arizona Summit Law Review. It provides a collection of student, academic, and practitioner articles on the topic of Therapeutic Jurisprudence ("TJ"). Therapeutic Jurisprudence is a way of looking at "law as therapy" or "therapy through law." It grew out of mental health law and the scholarly writings of Professor David Wexler in the late 1980's.
