Book excerpt: The "Cast Otter" arrived at Dalhousie, New Brunswick, on December 9, 1985, from Montreal, Quebec, in order to complete her loading for Antwerp, Belgium. On the evening of December 11th, whilst loading at Dalhousie, it was observed that she was aground. She re-floated on the next rising tide and departed for Antwerp during the morning of December 12, 1985, without further incident. There was no apparent damage to the vessel or wharf, neither was there any injury or pollution as a result of this incident.
