Data on food consumption patterns in Norway, especially fat consumption, and their relation to health are presented. The main tools to implement the policy are consumer education and price policies. Alternatives for increasing domestic food production include expanding cultivated area and improving yields.

It shows that the Arctic is not a homogenous region.
