Hopefully Billy Bob will forgive Hammarberg for breaking his vow and publishing the book. Billy Bob insisted that even though many of his tales simply required the suspension of disbelief, every single one of them were absolutely true. But since the author doesn't want to jeopardize his good name by categorizing this work as non-fiction, in the case that some of them turn out not true, it sorts under Young-Adult Fiction. Inside the covers of this book, the reader will be treated to anecdotes like these from the Hix family life: The time the Hix burglarized a mansion as a family and brought home a hundred grand's worth of loot The time Billy Bob and one of his sons chased all the blacks out of the Birmingham welfare office How Billy Bob managed to prevent his lesbian daughter from marrying a 50-year-old woman The story of when Billy Bob ran for mayor of Birmingham How two of the family members became local heroes in the pro-wrestling circus During this year, the family ran into a number of celebrities as well, and these encounters are retold in full detail. Hopefully reading the book will bring many hours of enjoyment, and perhaps even spark a debate about freedom of speech. In this anthology Campbell diagnoses a problem afflicting much of the church today. Zealous to make a difference in the world by acquiring the power of legislation and enforcement, Christians employ society's political science rather than the scandalous politics of Jesus. Although well-intentioned, Christians are, Campbell laments, mistakenly "up to our steeples in politics." Campbell's prescription is for disciples simply to incarnate the reconciliation that Christ has achieved. Rather than crafting savvy strategies and public policies, "Do nothing," Campbell counsels. "Be reconciled!" Yet his encouragement to "do nothing" is no endorsement of passivity or apolitical withdrawal. Rather, Campbell calls for disciples to give their lives in irrepressible resistance against all principalities and powers that would impede or deny our reconciliation in Christ--an unrelenting prophetic challenge leveled especially at institutional churches, as well as Christian colleges and universities. In sermons, difficult-to-access journal articles, and archival manuscripts, Campbell then develops what reconciliation looks like. Being the church, for example, means identifying with, and advocating for, society's "least one"-including violent offenders, disenfranchised minorities, and even militant bigots. In fact, in Campbell's ordo the scorned sectarian and disinherited denizen is often closer to the peculiar Christian genius than are society's well-healed powerbrokers. Disciples seeking to discern their calling can hardly do better than taking direction from this "bootleg," pulpitless preacher.

I have been blogging for seven years, I toy with my readers, telling them that my goal is to write a blog with one sentence and a book on one page. In a critical introduction, Friedman evaluates how transnational capital represents a truly global force, but geographical decentralization of accumulation still leads to declining state hegemony in some areas and increasing hegemony in others. The authors examine the growth and increasing autonomy of indigenous populations, and the massively destabililizing effect of migration processes. They describe the rapid increase in criminalization of ethnic and immigrant groups as well as an increase in class stratification, creating new forms of social confrontation and violence.
