Book excerpt: The Rebuild Leader Kit from Kathleen Nielson contains one Bible Study Book and 2 DVDs for 8 sessions of group study. The Book of Nehemiah tells of God's people returned from exile and rebuilding the broken-down city of Jerusalem. More than that, it tells of God's people being rebuilt according to His Word. As we watch the leader Nehemiah direct the rebuilding, we're watching the Lord God direct history according to His promises--all of which were fulfilled in the promised Christ who came from this people's seed. This study of Nehemiah helps us understand our history as believers in Jesus Christ. It helps us learn to walk in faith according to God's Word, even in times of weakness and rebuilding. Eight lessons draw us into the text, giving background and asking questions that lead us to make fruitful and personal observations. Accompanying videos come from Nielson, Nancy Guthrie, and D.A. Carson (editor). Through this study we peer into the dramatic story of God's people sustained by God's Word, at a crucial point in salvation history. The book of Nehemiah chronicles a key moment in the history of God's people: the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem after the return from exile. Understanding this book doesn't just mean knowing about a rebuilt wall. Nehemiah helps us think through any type of rebuilding we might do for God-from our homes and families to our local church, our communities and our world. Download or read book Rebuilding Identity written by Jacob L. Wright and published by Walter de Gruyter. This book was released on 2012-10-24 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph presents a fresh and detailed treatment of the problems posed by the Nehemiah-Memoir. Starting from the pre-critical interpretations of Ezra-Neh, the study demonstrates that the use of the first-person does not suffice as a criterion for distinguishing between the verba Neemiae and the additions of later authors. The earliest edition of the Memoir isconfined to a building report, which was expanded as early generations of readers developed the implications of Nehemiah's accomplishments for the consolidation and centralization of Judah. The expansions occasioned in turn the composition of the history of the "Restoration" in Ezra-Neh.

Book God s Plan for Our Success Nehemiah s Way

This book was released on 2012-03-20 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Open wide the gates! This teaching on the gates started an awakening in my heart and caused me to hunger for a deeper walk with the Lord. …it began a new quest for the glory of God to manifest—and it most definitely did! –Jo Ellen Stevens Too many think that the day we become born again, God turns us loose to somehow evolve into mature Christians. On the contrary, He has a plan for our success, and the gates define that—step by step, experience by experience, truth by truth. God’s Plan for Our Success Nehemiah’s Way—Rebuilding the Gates in Your Christian Journey is a unique look at how the ten gates described in the Book of Nehemiah affect your life. Gates are crucial for you to walk through and understand, making your daily hike more successful. These benchmarks help you grow stronger and know how to react when your “city” lies in “waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire” (Neh. 2:17). This book is an insightful, practical blueprint to building a rich life of blessings. You go through the first gate as a new Christian and through each of the other gates on your way toward the last one—your God-given destiny.

Book 52 Days To Rebuild Mind Spirit and Body

Download or read book 52 Days To Rebuild Mind Spirit and Body written by Rhoda Linton and published by . This book was released on 2020-09-18 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an inspirational devotional to give you encouragement and guidance assisting you in your healthy living journey. Hello Friend, I have been anxiously waiting to share this information with you because it has given me a new lease on life and hopefully, it will do the same for you. I am one of those people who have tried every way, in and of myself, to lose weight, sometime succeeding and other times slipping right back into my old habits. This 52 Day book is really about rebuilding the total YOU-MIND, SPIRIT, AND BODY.Upon reading the book of Nehemiah, a book in the Old Testament of the Bible, I discovered some life principles that enabled me to rebuild or "renew" my body in a relatively short time. Nehemiah 6:15 states, "So the wall was finished on the twenty and fifth day of the Month Elul, in fifty and two days." That scripture struck me like a bolt of lightning, and I said to myself, "If Nehemiah with the help of the Lord could rebuild the walls of a city in 52 days, certainly the Lord and I can rebuild my body in 52 days. So I began my quest to rebuild my body in 52 days. Results: I would like to share with you step-by-step what I did to achieve this goal and encourage you to pray about it and see if this process of rebuilding will be your avenue to put you on the right path to a healthy living lifestyle.

Download or read book The Nehemiah Blueprint written by Jon D. Bennett and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-02-29 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Nehemiah is an awesome testimony that when God has a purpose for a group of people, He does not forget about them. Through ups and downs, God remembers. Sometimes we may be tempted to think that when walls fall down around us, God has thrown up His hands and left us to perish. Nothing could be further from the truth! I believe that even your reading this book is evidence that God is working behind the scenes in the hearts of modern day Nehemiahs and Ezras to bring His eternal purposes to pass. As mentioned at the outset of this work, either God knows all and is in control of all, or He's not God at all. There is one more thing I'd like to point out as we anticipate turning this blueprint into footprints. Whatever we accomplish in terms of rebuilding the rubble is all about God. It is not your name or my name that is at stake. It is not your community or my community that matters most. Because the vision (and all that follows) comes from God, it is God's own reputation that is on the line, thus it is God who will bring the work to pass-and it is God who deserves the glory! Several times in Nehemiah 13, Nehemiah pauses at the end of major sections (i.e. verses 14, 22, and 31) to pray. His prayer is not long and drawn out. In fact there are five words that he repeats each time, "Remember me, Oh my God!" He wasn't asking for personal support. He was asking that God would remember the work that He had called him to accomplish. He was asking that God's energy would enable his efforts. He was working, but it was God's work. As we continue to build walls that have fallen in our own back yards, may we be reminded that the work is greater than any pastor's reputation or church's name. It is God's work. We are merely servants who have been selected to carry out the vision of our King. May God "remember us."
