As firms adapt to the demands of global marketplaces, the supply chains that shape their distribution networks become more varied. This research aims to analyze innovative technologies for integrating and coordinating visibility solutions across the supply chain to manage product and information flow.Design: For this study, we examined, collected, and categorized articles from 162 publications, identifying 42 as crucial to the scope; the analysis' search period was set from 2002 to 2021. This study adopted (Tranfield and Denyer's 2003) systematic review approach to identify gaps and address issues for achieving supply chain visibility. The synthesis of articles is based on the process-oriented approach and PRISMA strategy to assess its supply visibility influence.Findings: The existing literature on supply chain visibility emphasizes the role of technology in enabling information exchange. However, despite the availability of modern technologies, many businesses still lack visibility. Organizational silos such as participant authorization, data protection, and real-time information access hinder end-to-end supply chain visibility. Further, prospects and research propositions that incorporate blockchain technology as a central platform have been found to achieve SCV in practice.Academic implications: This study provides academics with the opportunity to consolidate and enhance existing solutions, as well as uncover missing linkages and interfaces.Practical implications: This study helps supply chain practitioners identify future strategies and combinations of technologies to improve information quality, as well as build new technology solutions to meet existing and future demands.
