Book A High Fidelity Real Time Simulation of a Small Turboshaft Engine

Download or read book A High Fidelity Real Time Simulation of a Small Turboshaft Engine written by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-07-17 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A high-fidelity component-type model and real-time digital simulation of the General Electric T700-GE-700 turboshaft engine were developed for use with current generation real-time blade-element rotor helicopter simulations. A control system model based on the specification fuel control system used in the UH-60A Black Hawk helicopter is also presented. The modeling assumptions and real-time digital implementation methods particular to the simulation of small turboshaft engines are described. The validity of the simulation is demonstrated by comparison with analysis-oriented simulations developed by the manufacturer, available test data, and flight-test time histories. Ballin, Mark G. Book Real Time Simulation of an Automotive Gas Turbine Using the Hybrid Computer

Download or read book Real Time Simulation of an Automotive Gas Turbine Using the Hybrid Computer written by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-08-14 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A hybrid computer simulation of an Advanced Automotive Gas Turbine Powertrain System is reported. The system consists of a gas turbine engine, an automotive drivetrain with four speed automatic transmission, and a control system. Generally, dynamic performance is simulated on the analog portion of the hybrid computer while most of the steady state performance characteristics are calculated to run faster than real time and makes this simulation a useful tool for a variety of analytical studies. Book Parallel Processing for Jet Engine Control

Download or read book Parallel Processing for Jet Engine Control written by Haydn A. Thompson and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Parallel Processing Applications for Jet Engine Control is a volume in the new Advances in Industrial Control series, edited by Professor M.J. Grimble and Dr. M.A. Johnson of the Industrial Control Unit, University of Strathclyde. The book describes the mapping and load balancing of gas turbine engine and controller simulations onto arrays of transputers. It compares the operating system for transputers and the Uniform System upon the Butterfly Plus computer. The problem of applying formal methods to parallel asychronous processors is addressed, implementing novel fault tolerant systems to meet real-time flight control requirements. The book presents real-time closed-loop results highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of Occam and the transputer. Readers will find that this book provides valuable material for researchers in both academia and the aerospace industry.

Book Control and Dynamic Systems V14

Download or read book Control and Dynamic Systems V14 written by C.T. Leonides and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2012-12-02 with total page 407 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Control and Dynamic Systems: Advances in Theory and Applications, Volume 14 provides information pertinent to the fundamental aspects of linear and nonlinear multi-input–multi-output systems. This book presents the development of analysis and synthesis of these complex systems that describes several important applied issues. Organized into five chapters, this volume begins with an overview of the basic issues in models for large-scale engineering systems and other systems. This text then examines the relations between model complexity or accuracy and system performance. Other chapters consider the various significant systems modeling and control issues in nuclear reactors. This book discusses as well the modeling issues and their methods that are fundamentally useful to the differential–functional (DF) system. The final chapter deals with complex many-element power systems and presents techniques for such systems. This book is a valuable resource for controls and systems engineers. Aeronautic research workers will also find this book extremely useful.
