Après avoir illustré les mots choisis, nous avons mis au point un protocole d'entraînement et d'évaluation qui a été suivi par douze enfants dyslexiques-dysorthographiques. La constitution de deux groupes d'enfants et de deux listes de mots a permis de comparer les différentes modalités d'entraînement. Les résultats après entraînement objectivent une efficacité de chaque méthode sur l'orthographe des mots travaillés.

Book excerpt: Ce travail a pour objet l'étude d'une remédiation de l'orthographe lexicale chez l'enfant dyslexique-dysorthographique : la méthode visuo-sémantique (L'orthographe illustrée, par S. Valdois, M.-P. De Partz, X. Seron et M. Hulin). Notre expérimentation a consisté à entraîner une liste de mots chez huit enfants présentant un profil en faveur d'une dysorthographie de surface. Les niveaux scolaires représentés sont le CE2 (un enfant), le CM2 (quatre enfants) et la classe de 5ème (trois enfants). Les mots ont été choisis en fonction de leur irrégularité ainsi qu'en fonction de trois effets de variables psycholinguistiques, à savoir l'effet de longueur, l'effet de fréquence et l'effet de concrétude. Les résultats ont été mesurés dans une épreuve de dictée une première fois après la fin de l'entraînement, puis une seconde fois après un intervalle d'un mois. Les corpus recueillis nous ont permis de mesurer la prégnance de certains effets psycholinguistiques et de mener une analyse qualitative approfondie sur les conditions d'utilisation de la méthode.
